Can someone please explain the damage from rend?Follow

#1 Dec 06 2006 at 11:37 PM Rating: Decent
The damage from rend at level 20 is:

Wounds the target causing them to bleed for 45 damage plus an additional ${0.00743*5*(($MWB+$mwb)/2+$AP/14*$MWS)} (based on weapon damage) over 15 seconds.

I hope someone can explain me how that formula works.
What is:
MWB?
mvb?
AP (attack power?)?
MWS

What would my damage output be if weapon damage is 70-90 and attack power 100

That's a damn good question.

Though, if I had to guess:

MWB? - Max Weapon Dmg?
mvb? - Min Weapon Dmg?
AP (attack power?)? - Yeah, very likely Attack Power
MWS - Weapon Speed?

It was datamined from the spell ability date.

I have no idea what precisely the formula is, but the damage added is miniscule. My Rend (with 1000 AP unbuffed and an Ashkandi) went from ~23-24 a tick to ~29 a tick.

I got the formula from this page:

from a logical viewpoint, poldaran is correct.

the formula really only makes sense with those abbreviations, the units work out and everything is logical. example: ap/14 = dps, so ap/14*weapon speed = damage. yup, fine.
