My hunter! My War! Nooooooo! now what?Follow

#1 Dec 05 2006 at 7:38 PM Rating: Decent
I have been playing WoW now for about 4mos, been going hard and have my hunter and war in the 40's. Then the patch came out, and they have been nerfed, the hunter (my favorite)even worse than the war!

Is this permanent? Is there a way around it? I play on a PvP server, and being relatively new, I get picked off constantly by wandering horde that just "Pfsh" my bear and wack me around in my dead zone. But i liked the hunter so much I never bothered lvling any other chars past lvl 10.

I understand that, because of the proliferation of hunters running around, they had to do something to discourage us, but now what? Are there any classes that got boosted in the new patch instead of nerfed? I have been officially discouraged, and doan know if I should continue with my wussed out hunter or start another class. And if that, what class is good for solo/quicker lvl/PVP survivability?

thanx from "oficially discouraged"

Calm down. It's not that bad.

Our RAP gain from agility got halved, but most endgame gear got adjusted for this.

Arcane shot now scales, which deals more damage.

Our pets now scale with your own stats (with gear).

Some of the beta testers still say that they pwn face. Especially BM hunters <evil grin>

I've got a level 15 Hunter - he's still able to kill critters higher than his level. He doesn't die when levelling, same as before. I don't see any problem. On the other hand, I do wear a tinfoil bandana...

If you want to complain where there's a chance of being heard by Blizz, go to the o-boards.

So, how do you keep blizz from reading the thoughts in the upper part of your brain? Tinfoil yarmulke?

Being able to set traps while in combat is pretty sweet.

Although I still have mixed feelings about the decreased dps. The dps of the outrider bow did increase from 32 to 39 but the lessened damage of crits still bites.

Give your war a try, I was extremely pessimistic about the patch but find my rage generation barely affected (at level 55 in blues).
