I want to play so bad! Looking forward to new builds with my Rogue and Shaman, and checking out that new arena. *drools*

I think I have a problem.

Stop whining, EU Maintenance starts in about 4-5 hours. So I need to wait for dualwield for at least 16 more hours.

Where does The part 2 of the update go to? Which directory? ;_;

WoW dang guys I don't feel so bad now, why the long delay for EU? Only one team of maintenance for Blizz or something?

In your WoW directory there should be a folder called: WoW-1.12.x-to-2.0.1-enUS-patch

the file goes there

European realms have maintenance on Wednesdays.

They can laugh at us US/Oceanic guys on Tuesday and grumble on Wednesday. :D

Already huge rateup, but another question. I tried to copy it there and it said there is already one with same name, about 96 megs. What to do?

Just overwrite them then load up wow and try to log in and it should patch just fine. Make sure you have about 5gb or more free when patching it or you will have to start over on the patching process.

Or could I delete everything in that folder, copy the -2 there and just patch normally? Or just Overwrite?

Thanks alot in advance!
#16 Dec 05 2006 at 11:27 PM Rating: Good
No don't delete everything.
Just copy the last file you got in that folder and if you need to, overwrite the old one.

I didn't get to play much this evening before work. I was on for roughly 2-3 hours, but I didn't play much.

I spent a good hour and a half helping guildies with specs.

Not like it mattered all that much. Server was kinda slow and crashed a couple times. I sure hope they get it fixed by Thursday(got a raid on Thursday).

The playing I did do made me very happy. My frostbolts now hit for 1k with self buffs only and crit for 2250ish. That's an incredibly solid increase to my damage. Elites go down quick now. I nearly 3 shotted a flagged Troll Rogue in Cenarion Hold. I woulda managed to down him but I right clicked the portal to book it to IF before the guards killed me.

Neat. ^-^

Shmii will see how Hunter is in T minus 4 hours.

And see what new Druid talents are like.

Maybe time to make new avatar now. And have breakfast.

7 hours 38 minutes until I finish work.

At least the patch downloaded nicely this morning (all 680ish MB in 15 seconds flat...from the Blizzard downloader...:O...)

I need to get home.

Spent some time hanging with other dr00ds by the trainers in the SW park last night, getting into position ready for logging this evening.

I even had seal secks in the pool.

Eu here. Patched and ready to go.. If they could just bring the servers up.. 3½ hours to go...

And just a little personal reflection: Seeding the patch at 8 MBytes/s is like pissing in the ocean.

Looks like the EU servers have had their maintainence extended as well. Its saying it'll be up at 15.00 at the moment, but i wouldn't hold your breath.

Anyone have any links to the new EU patch?

I managed to download some 30% of the patch with the background downloader, but now, whenever I try to use the background downloader manually or the BNUpdate thing, it says there are no patch files available.

I know it didn't get the entire patch. It took me four hours to get 28%. I then shut off my monitor and watched a movie. Closed the computer a few moments after finishing the movie.

So, any EU mirrors up yet?

Work ends in 2.5 hours. Although I do not really expect to be able to start playing then, I will at least be able to start trying to play :)

Got a nice dinner to cook, so if the servers are borked, I can do something nice while waiting.

I had just hoped I would be able to get the patch before they open up the servers.

Oh well, while people are flooding the servers, causing them to crash, I'll be downloading the patch and making dinner.

I still can't get over the size of that patch. 600 megs.. Christ.
