..How big is the common.MPQ file when it's all said and done? I'm just staring at it and watching it grow.

3.57 gigs for me!

Wow. It moved on from Common.MPQ but I'm sure it'll add more soon. 33% done, and my processor is shot currently, so it's taking forever. Blah. Thanks for the quick reply, though.

Thanks to this patch, I finally noticed that my HD was almost full. Had to go and uninstall the MMO's I have on there that I don't play anymore, so I could fit it.

That's funny. Me too. Bye bye EQ, EQII and Star Wars Galaxies. Only needed a few mega-bytes more but why not? Have not looked at them in months.

I've installed patch and everytime I log on (i expect to go to realm selection with no realms there) I download another patch "World of Warcraft Beta 2.0" that takes like 40 seconds to install, then I restart, give permissions again for my firewall and try to login again, only to download the SAME patch again.

I was on PTR so would it have something to deal with that?

If you're hurting for space, also check your World of Warcraft folder. It seems WoW doesn't remove old patches, so you can safely erase any folder that references an older patch number, like 1.11 to 1.12.

Edit: Installers and downloaders for those older versions will be in the main WoW directory also, you can delete those too. Just make sure to leave wow-patch (no numbers) and anything that lists patch 2.0 or higher!

RPZip, please do not tell me that you mean the 2.0 patch is 3.5 gigs. It took over a week just to download the 400+ megs they gave us already :(
