I'm getting an error message now with this patch stating that access to wowreader.exe.old is denied when trying to run it after the patch. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still get the same message. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Try running wowreader directly from the application icon in the /program files/wowreader directory ?

I am having difficulties updating my character with
the correct stats.

My character 2415524 shows a defense
rating of 370 and health of 9804, however my defense
rating is actually 461 and health a little under 10,200. As
a 70 level prot spec warior, 370 defense is pretty laughable
and I have been taken quite a beating in some of the
forums. A few hours ago I logged in WoW and made sure
I had no debuffs (i didnt) and uploaded the info back
into WoWReader. The stats did not change or update.
Am I missing some steps here or do i need to wait a
little longer for the info to update on your site?

I am linking my WoW armory profile, just to let you know I aint fibbing.

Keep up the great work!!! I love this site.

I am having trouble with this website. My to do list for my chars disappears showing 0/25 quest. Sometimes if I upload a new quest the list comes back, but not always.

I'm having same problem - WR is enabled in WoW and Upload after gaming always completes OK according to GUI. BUT when I check profile on Alla the Quest list are either empty or not updated and usually the contents of my bags are not updated.

Any ideas anyone ?

FYI - after I typed /wver in-game a couple of days ago it seems that my profile gets update correct every time now ;-)
I don't understand why that should change anything - but never mind - it works now.

Cheers

I'm trying to upload, and I keep getting an error: Protocol Error:0
#236 Jul 05 2007 at 1:37 PM Rating: Decent
Yep. Seems to be broken at this time, Been running it for about 6 months now. Updating after patches and such, but nothing seems to be working now. I saw the same error as above and tried all the basic fixes, nothing worked.

I can't upload after the latest patch, it say's this after it updates some xml file.

Version check failed. WoWReader is disabled pending update (expected6803x6898)
DON'T PANIC! If WoW was patched in the last day or 2, it may take some time for a new version to appear. Please try starting WoWReader again later to check for updates.

HI Guys,

WoWReader had been working nicely for me, up till I bought a new computer with Win Vista.

Tried running it in XP Comapatability mode, can't get it to work, can still update it on my laptop, but do not use it for gaming (not up to scratch).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

[edit]Tried running as administrator too (sorry should have said)

Could be a permissions problem, in Vista some apps must be run specifically with admin rights. Try running it as an administrator. Right click on wowreader icon and select 'run as administrator' from the drop down menu.
