Amazing UI you have to see!Follow

#1 Dec 01 2006 at 11:06 AM Rating: Good
I just downloaded MazzleUI a couple of days ago and have been using it ever since. I do not know how I got along without this thing! It's absolutely amazing. I thought I'd pass this info along to the community because I'm not sure how many people are using this thing.

You can download the add-on from wowinterface at http://mazzlefizz.wowinterface.com/portal.php?&id=103

The coolest part about this is you just back up your Interface folder and replace ti with the one in the zip. The next time you log on you get an installation screen that walks you through the configuration. You can choose what you want and then it will set it all up for you automatically.

Anyway, thats enough of my glowing testimonial, you can check out screen shots here http://www.discordmods.com/cgi-bin/showUI.pl?msgnum=1001

Wow that actually *is* really nice... hmm... I'm usually not a fan of UIs that black bar off a chunk of the bottom... but this seems to minimize that and leave a lot of room for buttons.

I may have to try it out (even though I've been using Nurfed for... 10+ months now?)!

Any idea how much of it is going to break when 2.0 goes live though? :(

Well I gotta say it does look really cool, especially for your own party. Looks a little too cluttered for me though, especially the chat windows.

how much UI memory does it take?

Wow, that actually reminds me a lot of some stuff I used to have when playing EQ2 awhile back for a UI mod. I may have to check that out. I'm normally not a fan of the "black bar bottoms" either (in fact I like the look of the base blizzard UI and my mods show that in not being a complete revamp like this) but this one does look pretty nice and cool. Maybe a bit more cluttered then i'd like also though.

For the person asking about how much ui mem it uses, i'd hazard a guess at a large amount... more then base alloccation. That is one reason I don't like revamps that much, they tend to use a lot of memory because of all the textures and extra pictures and frames and such.

wow, she finally released an open version of it. I have been anticipating this release for a while now... it is very difficult to find pre-made UIs for 1920x1200 resolution.

My only question:

Does it work for anything that's not a widescreen resolution?

- Configures the position and size of every UI element, including the artwork for nearly any resolution (anything that has an aspect ratio of 1.25, 1.33 or 1.6.) You should not have to adjust anything to make it look like the screenshots.

wondering if this UI would be decent in end-game raids for a healer.
I use CT_Raid to cross-heal a lot (Chain-Heal FTW!)

Seems too cluttered in the bottom.
And the 3D models look like they might bog down my system with unneeded visuals.

The UI in that screenshot is good for wide screen monitors, but not for regular ones IMO. I'm fine with what I have.

This is the information from mazzleUI description:

Configures the position and size of every UI element, including the artwork for nearly any resolution (anything that has an aspect ratio of 1.25, 1.33 or 1.6.) You should not have to adjust anything to make it look like the screenshots.

So if you have the resolution ratio mentioned as above then it works. e.g. 1040x780 = 1.33

I followed Mazzle development for awhile now and glad to see it was finally released (even as beta)

I will have to try this.

Since my stuff will be changing a lot come tuesday anyways, I will probably give this a try and then add in a couple little extra things that are necessities for me. It looks really nice to me though.

I gave up on Discord because every patch it explodes. sometimes it looks great right after the patch, but some frame or frame unit gets wonky on you.

If you use discord make a macro for /console reloadui You will need it, that just my opinion, that aside, looks super duper cool cept low button count(should be using hotkeys anywho)

Was annoyed when it made me
/moan
/cheer
/dance
when I installed.

Deleted when it made me yell

"I just had an intense Mazzygasm!"

After playing around with it, I found a couple things that I am not too big of a fan of, and a couple settings that I can't change as if I had put the comilation all togehter myself with my choice of mods. I think I will probably use UI-Backup and save this incase I want to go back to it, but for right now I am happy with my old UI.
