by now everyone's aware that gmail:

2) scans your emails
3) targets you with sponsored links based on those scans

that's what you get for using gmail.

Why not use Yahoo! or *gasp* hotmail? Or even aol?

Well, you know, some places are starting to actually ban registering with a hotmail or yahoo email address because they are free and easy to get and can just be abused much easier. Maybe that has something to do with it? Besides, it is his choice, and to tell the truth i'd probably be using gmail too if I didn't have something similar to it from my ISP anyways (2.0gigs of mail storage, spam filters, ect)

I use my college e-mail for anything that wont give me spam and dbzmail.com for anything that might give me spam.

Uhm. Just curious Axhed, but i don't have any ads on my gmail.

Where are they coming from or what page do they show up on? -- I know that on my main google page and almost any forums page with google as their ad site it always shows up WoW gold, but i've never once seen an ad inside gmail.

gmail is great IMHO.

Though the new UI for yahoo mail beta is pretty cool too, but I don't like my addresses with YAHOO! in them for some reason... not really, um, 'professional'. Gmail sounds better /shrug.

edit: IIRC you can set an option in gmail to permanently delete your e-mails, unless they changed that recently.

gmail is free and just as easy to get nowadays.
Being that every gmail user has 500 invites.
WHO HAS 500 PEOPLE TO SEND INVITES TO?

lol.

(BTW: If anyone needs an invite, I still have 498 invites)
