How do you get to Booty Bay?Follow

There are two ways. If you are on kalimdor, go to ratchet and take the boat from there straight to booty bay.

If you are on eastern kingdoms...
If you have darkshire flight path, fly there, then head west through duskwood until you see a road that goes south. Take that road.

If you don't have darkshire fp, but do have sentinel hill fp, fly to sentinel hill and go southeast into duskwood headed east on the main road and you will come across the southern road to stv.

If you don't have sentinel hill or darkshire fp, walk from stormwind into westfall, and then into duskwood and follow above directions. Or you could cut through elwynn forest and northern duskwood.

If you have never been to eastern kingdoms, take the boat from darkshore to menethil harbor, follow the main road through wetlands and loch modan into dun morough. Continue following road and go to ironforge, take the deeprun tram in tinkertown, ironforge to stormwind, then follow above directions.

Its the notorious gank zone of WoW, so if applicable I suggest flipping your pvp flag off and just stay on the road till you hit Booty Bay, when you get close to Booty theres gonna be a few types that are gonna be way too high for you to fight, so just keep running.

There is a horde town in the area, but its far off enough to where you shouldnt hit it unless you wandered off the road, since this is first time there I highly suggest you look at the map of the zone, theres one on Allakhazam.

Faction had nothing to do with that. Felwood was too high level a zone for you. If you see anything with ?? for level that means its level is more than 10(?) levels above yours and it will probably kill you extremely fast. You can see the level of any mob that is friendly or neutral to you but you can only see the level of enemy (whether faction or not) mobs if it is near your level or lower.


If you're on a PVP server then swimming might be the safest route but to gather herbs you'd need to be high enough level to defend yourself from the mobs and the opposing faction players as well.


I don't know about goldthorn but I've gathered a fair amount of steelbloom in the Stonetalon Mountains which should be easy at your level. I've found steelbloom (and liferoot) in the Wetlands which is also quite 'safe' at level 30 (and much safer than Stonetalon on a PVP server.)

Thanks for all your replies. I got to Booty Bay from Darkshire by walking on the road. I did not have any problems except when I wandered off to the side for little exploration and gathering. I did not get any goldthorns because they were near high level NPCs. I saw an arena in STV along the way. Can anyone enlighten me on what kind of arena is it? Again, would appreciate any responses.
