The last few posts of mine have involved Silithus, mainly because I've spent the majority of the last couple of weeks grinding there for texts. However, a few times I noticed a really unusual bug, which a couple of people have suggested might be an exploit, and I was wondering if any other people have seen it.
I tended to prefer farming the main camp close to the Cenarion NPCs. There is more competition, but the camp is large enough that there are usually enough mobs to share. Usually. However, while grinding on cultists in the main camp, I noticed that sometimes I would pull a mob (I usually pull them individually out of the camp if people are farming the outskirts), only to have it turn sharply and beeline for another player. When I originally shot it, it would still be red, but just before it turned, it would go grey, as if someone else had claimed it before me. Alternatively, I did see a couple of times when I'd be fighting on the outskirts of the camp, only to see a swarm of mobs (Geolords, Avengers and even Stonecallers) running at me as if they all had Dash, only to assist the mob I was attacking.
I'd put it down to some sort of freakish glitch, but a couple of people told me they'd had it happen to them as well, but only when a horde group (between 5 and 10 people each time) had been there, and they knew it was usually the same crew because one was a Tauren with Thunderfury. I know that the weapon does chain damage, but there are two issues- first, sometimes they were not near me, as I have a habit of going on the opposite side of any group, and therefore my mobs shouldn't be near enough to be affected by the AoE, and second, there were times I didn't see any other players within visual range (either on the outskirts or in the camps) at all, which meant that when my mob de-claimed (or other mobs aggroed), it was at a time when they should definitely not have.
Any ideas or similar experiences?
