i am currently lvl 50 rogue goin combat/assasin, havin trouble to spec in a specific weapon, i am on dagger ATM, i dont like it, more crit chance sure but SS is a weak piece of **** with daggers.
so i am thinking which should i spec in? mace or swords?
How does the extra attack work anyways? an extra attack of weapon dmg? or an extra attack from the previous dmg u dealt, etc. Please help me.

If you are daggers you should be using mostly backstab. When you go sword spec, it gives you an extra swing for white damage...you dont get an extra sinister strike or backstab =p.
For instance your combat log will look like:
You hit Boar for 200
Your Sinister Strike hits Boar for 421
You hit Boar for 160
You gain an extra attack through sword specialization
You hit Boar for 184
What happens is you get to do the white damage twice on a swing, and it can proc on mainhand or offhand if you have a sword equiped.
You could have gotten it earlier, but a great sword for your level is the Thrash blade. It has a weapon proc of an extra swing, so with sword spec they make a great combo.

Yep, if you are daggers, theres no reason for you to be using SS other than to quickly gain a cp or if the situation forces you to. You will be cheapshoting, gouging, kidney shotting the mobs to allow yourself to backstab, more tedious than the standard swords, but I dislike the misses chance on the extra attack proc. Another issue is that during your levels, its hard to get a good sword, ircc and correct me if I am wrong, theres a gap between like your thrash blade and the next really good and obtainable sword you can get is like the dal'rend's set in ubrs (there that sword in brd from the general also), other than that I can't really think of filler swords in between.

yea i have thrash with fiery ATM and julie's dagger with icey,
i see sword spec can get extra swing from both hit, but why would anyone pick a extra white swing over a 3 sec stun? i dont understand. Mace is usually slower so stronger SS, with andre rush u can proc stun like mad with SS.
yea BS is good but in a good duel u will never get the oppents back without gouge or a stun, i honeslty think thats a waste, with lethality by BS hit 496, crit SS hits 386, 100 dmg diff, 45 energy vs 60 energy, i would understand if u kidney shot and use BS for stun locks against casters.
can i have you guys comments on mace spec please?

Uh, I dunno what kind of setup you using but my BS crits go for at least 500 against mail, plate I just avoid in PvP cause I haven't learned how to solo pvp against them yet.
And in a duel, you will always be fighting for position as any class, you get behind more than you think.
Another thing, I don't know if the mace stun is subject to diminishing returns like gouge and sap.
And I am pretty sure the stun doesn't work on all mobs, the thing with daggers is that you need high agi for more crit chance, although imp backstab helps alot.
Btw, at your level good luck finding maces, they are cheaper but not that common, at least on my server.
