Funny Newbie=Nub stories from 10-19 WSGFollow

Wow ... just wow.

The things people have been saying to me lately. I've been hanging out w/ the newbies in 10-19 BGs this week ... I love newbies. When people ask questions, I do my best to answer them. I enjoy fostering their learning and enjoyment. However... So many newbies are just born nubs through and through.

newb: "wow I like the way your sword glows where did you get that?"
me: "[Cruel Barb] - it cost me 10g"
newb: "OMG LOL U CANT BUY CRUEL BARB IT COMES FROM VC YOU BOUGHT YOUR ACCOUNT LOL!"
ME: "I meant 10g for the enchant. I farmed the essence myself"
newb: "Enchant?"
me: I linked it to show you "Fiery Weapon"
newb: "Why waste your money on a glow? It doesn't do anything"


... Another one ...

For the past 5 mins, a L18 Hunter had been camping shadowmelded by the enemy flag - while we were still running their last flag. We capped. As we were capping, I got to the enemy flag room to get the next one.

nub: "don't touch the flag you gnome *******"
me: "huh?"
nub: "I was here first"
me: "well. To be honest you have 468 HP and 55 agi and I have 861 HP and 96 agi, maybe I'll grab it and you support me by wing clipping people who attack me."
nub: "don't touch the flag. I'm only 1 level lower than you"
me: "level doesn't really matter. just let me grab it so I can score"
nub: "don't touch the flag you *%&$'ing fa&got"
*flag appears, I nab it*
nub: "/bg Trubble is a f*cking f*ggot she stole the flag it was my turn I was waiting"


Man I just want Honored before the patch so I can get the rings/necks for L18-58 and I'm almost there (3000+/6000) ... I can't stand 10-19 any more! I can't imagine how people spend so much time there to get exalted. L2P IMO. Even if you want to twink - 20-29 > 10-19.

10-19 WSG is cute. The people entering the battleground at level 10, optimistic and all. Getting one-shotted by a level 19 non-twink.

I had one of those moments with someone.

Sounds like this one twink I used to know rolled on your server.

He liked to yell at people for not letting him carry the flag as well because he "wanted more honor".

He was one of those insanely geared rogue twinks. I'm talking dual 15 agi on a Shadowfang/Cruel Barb combo, libram enchants, the whole nine yards. The day I managed to let him beat himself to death on me was beyond priceless(okay, so I only let him beat himself to death that last 50%).

Redoubt + Shield Spike + Self Heals + 50+% damage reduction + leftover thorns buff.

And that mage you talked about.

Perhaps Blizz could add a boar arena for lvl 1-9 toons.

The "bank battleground"...

All those +1 One handed swords/axes will be popular.

Personally, I think your perspective assumes that there is something special about leveling up. There isn't. Everyone and their grandma has a L60. Why not have a vessel to try out PvP at a low level? You know - fun that isn't related to leveling?

Just my overly-assertive 2c.

Couple of day's ago I was in WSG with a couple of mates. We were half way back with the flag for the second time when someone stards shouting out in /bg
"Stop getting the flag, get kills".
On third flag run.
"Stop we need kills, need more kills for honour".
If we were 3-0 up we might have stopped for a while but it was 2-2 so we didn't even bother pointing out the fact that you get more honour for winning and just got our ***'s back for the win.
