Hey all, no I have no statements about my thoughts on the burning crusade, I don't have any questions about what class to play or what professions to do,

I was wondering, I'm a level 26 orc shaman, I've been pvping for a while so when I finally stepped out of WSG, I didn't really know what to do next. What would you guys suggest? What's a good place to quest and what would be my next instance to take on?

Bear in mind, this is my first character, so I will take no offense at cries of "noooooob" as I am.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the wonderful place that is Horde, I would suggest the Dwarves at the barrens for grinding.

Hi, I'm a newb too. LoL My highest character just hit level 28 yesterday.

I've been questing in Stonetalon and Ashenvale and I've also completed most of the quests in Silverpine. I'm also starting to get quests in Thousand Needles. I've done almost all of the Barrens quests except for the instance related ones. I'm afraid I'm a bit behind in doing instances because I'm not very experienced in groups.

At lv26, you should be ready to step out of the Barrens. Ashenvale has a little chain of quests for characters about your level. Beyond that, I'm not sure...to be perfectly honest, I've never taken a Horde character much further than you...*coughs*...But it follows that you'd start branching off into Ashenvale and Stonetalon, the same way an Alliance peep heads out into Redridge and Duskwood.

Wah!? why not to Hillsbrad. I've leveled all my Horde characters from 20-31 in Hillsbrad. In Hillsbrad I can get a level in a couple hours.

I say at level 26 go to Hillsbrad. Get to lvl 30 or 31 then go to STV and do the nesingwary quests. I then went to Araith Highlands from about 35-45ish. After that you can really do whatever. I like Tanaris and there are a couple quests in Deolace you can do at that level. Tanaris can prolly bring you to about 53 or 54 and from there I'd say Un Goro Crater. That'll be till about lvl 57 or so and from there go whereever you want to and get to 60

I hated Hillsbrad cause of all the ganking reducing my grinding / questing time.

Ya same here

I suggest stonetalon or something. Maybe Thousand needles

Anywhere but Hillsbrad. Unless you like dying every 2 seconds.

Yea, thousand needles is a good place. Only go to Hillsbrad if u absolutely have to, or if you're on a PVE server, then there are no worries. Otherwise, try there, plenty of easy quests.

Hillsbrad was a pain. You couldn't do a quest without someone ganking you every so often.

Worse part was, the allies would wait for you right outside of Tarren Mill. That make questing longer than it should have been.

Oh and avoid Stranglethorn Vale too, if you don't like getting ganked every ten seconds. I always do quests there when I am 40+ because I can level much faster just grinding in Swamp of Sorrows, Badlands and Desolace in my 30s. I totally bypassed STV with my 42 Lock and I ended up with 100g before 40 and took me less time to level.

Ah, so you one of the lowbies that plays battlegrounds instead of leveling up?

At level 26 you are barely ready to START playing WSG in that range. You should have been leveling from 20-26 and now be asking for tips on how to win battlegrounds.

It really irks me that horde players show up in battlegrounds in the lower end of the bracket and expect other people to win it for them. That is how the alliance play, and they usually lose (except when we have horde dragging us down).

Sorry about the rant, but the temptation was just too strong....

Okay seriously, that has to be the biggest load of BS I have ever heard. Battlegrounds give you a great feeling of how to control your character without the pain of actually dying. As well as they get you experience in a group environment. You get cheaper equipment. Get over it. As of lvl 10 - anyone can PVP in BG - accept it and move on - dont rant in forums because some allie stomped you into the ground because you protecting someone.

Can he heal at 26? Yes. Can he run the flag in ghost wolf at 26? Yes. Can he purge at 26? Yes.

Get a grip man.

If you are on pve server, this should be no problem unless you are flagged pvp. Although, if you are on a pvp server, I would say don't go to Hillsbrad.

(PS) If anyone is new to the game, and is on Blackhand, feel free to message me, I'll help with anything, answer questions, ect. >.> I have this problem. I can't resist when I see "LF1M SFK" and its posted a million times. I'm too helpful. T-T

ok Grind a little here a little there till you can do 1K needles. At night do hillbrad (much less ganking) then avoid STV with badlands and swamp of sarows.

Even better just get to mid thritys and do SM and WSG over and over. Sell the cloth and you will be able to pay for the mount. (just don't wast it on crappy enchants) While you lvl get herb and ach. GREAT FOR SHAMMYS I to have a 26 shammy alt and when you have a **** load of buffs on at that LVL it just kicks ***. My shammy is only 26 and he already has 29G sitting around.( that he made himself)

Just engoy your LVLs it's not a race, just have fun doing what you like best. Wether it's PVP, grinding or LVLing it's just about fun. Also try to linger in 30's for a while (lower levels but without twinks:O) horde kinda has a distinct bonus in that bracket because SM is very close to UC, so you will see more horde well geared then allies.

Dont listen to these people with who are fighting over PvPing.

Honestly, PvPing is all fine and dandy, but as a first time player you should be focusing more on the leveling game. PvP can be fun at lower levels, but generally with all the twinking going on its not, and its more than likely going to discourage a player without blue items at your level.

You learn all of your skills, learn how they work best for you, save up some money, and you will be fine. There are multiple leveling guides available here on this site. If i knew a link to one i would surely give it to you, but i dont.

Here's something to work for, at level 40 you can obtain your mount. Its the best thing going for a first time player at your level. It will cost around 100g to obtain, start saving now. :) Trust me you will never regret saving all that money once you get your mount.

lvl 26? Go kill the Whelplings in Wetland. They are 23-27 and they may drop you the little whelpling you can sell on AH for 100gold!
