I recently downloaded WoWReader onto my computer. I uploaded all of the info from my characters fine onto the website. I was wanting to know if there was a way to show what my characters have in their banks also, and not just what they have in their bags. I opened all of my banks thinking this might work when I updated it, but it doesn't. Is this feature not available or am I missing something? :-)

I would also love to know how to do this. I'd like to put my WowReader profile on my page too.

I tryed downloading the current WoWReader again and it shows the same messege. Please help.

The same thing has happened to me begining after 1.11. Is there an update pending, or is something wrong with my reader? Any help is appreciated.

It's been updated for a while now. When you first start wowreader, does it try to update itself?

Yes when I first try to open the program it looks as if it is updating itself but then it gives this error: "Error Downloading Update: The underlying connection was closed: The remote name could not be resolved." It then gived the error I posted previously and then closes the program down.

*Edit*
Someone suggested I just reinstall it, so I did. Seemed to fix my problems.

Hi, im having a problem when i click on Wowreader it shows me the error where it says Clikc OK to Terminate Program. So i found out you need .net. I found the link to download the .net but i download and clicked it and get this error.

The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Window Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be updraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.

Any help?

No idea if this has been suggested, but is there any thoughts of maybe tracking bank information as well, I believe it could be useful to guilds who keep Guild banks.

Everything works fine, just that my name doesnt appear correctly. The name of my character is Turì (notice the accent on the i). But wowreader doesnt seem to be able to understand accents, so in my profile the name comes up as Tur?.

Well after some tries I hope this is the right place to post this. Im really sorry for spamming the forum with this 2 misplaced threads. Well here we go :D.

I would like to know if there is a way I could write a command or something in a batch file with which I can upload my character data to my profile.
This because I have a batch with things to do before to launch wow and things to do when I quit playing.
What I am trying to say I would like to let wowreader automatically upload the characterinfo whitout pressing "Upload".

i get the same thing, do we need the newest version of framework? where can we find it?
#298 Jul 24 2006 at 5:22 PM Rating: Decent
Dont know if u need the newest one. But I think it would solve the problem. U can simply download it on the microsoft update site Microsoft update site . Go for a 'Custom' update check and u can find the .NET Framework v2 in the list of (unnessesairy) updates.

BTW. Could anyone look into my question please:

Im getting this message:

And my char`s profile aint getting updated.
Tried reinstalling WR and deleting files in AddOns and SavedVariables, doesnt work.

I have the exact same error. It has the profiles and the data ready to upload. But after clicking upload (wait a few minutes), I get the "Unable to read data from the transport connection."

I've tried downloading the newest version...that didn't help. Is there a way to check that I have the most current version? Didn't see anything in the little UI to check version #.

[edit: duh.../wver shows 1.55 in game. Hopefully that helps figure out what's going on. If it helps any, I usually try to upload every day around the same time. Anytime between 5am and 6am EST]

Got a problem here...

I install WoWReader and then I click the exe file named wowreader.

After this the updater will launch and it will attempt to download a few files.

After a few files, the updater will get to "downloading wowreader.exe" - at this point a new file is created in the folder where wowreader is installed - the new file is called _wowreader.exe

After this an error will occur saying:

Quote:
Error deleting "C:\...\...\_wowreader.exe": Access to path "C:\...\...\_wowreader.exe" is denied.

I can then press ok, and this error message will appear:

Quote:

Error writing wowreader.exe: This progress cannot access the file "C:\...\...\_wowreader.exe" because it is being used by another progress.

Again, I can click ok - this will end the process and start the updater again, repeating the process all over - it will keep doing this untill I shut down the updater.

So - what am I doing wrong?
