WowReader Issues and HelpFollow

I have tried several times to set-up WoW reader...it never gets past the little toobar that called updater and says downloading patch.xml This is all I have ever gotten. Am I downloading this to the wrong place?

I downloaded WoW reader, followed all the instructions, read through like every post in this thread, and I'm still stuck.
OK, I log into WoW, click Refresh on my WoWReader, then log off and click upload. It used to say Upload Complete, but never put my profile on "Your Characters".

I did the /wver while in WoW like everyone said, and I just got a typo message. So I assumed the addon thing wasn't working.
Then I extracted the addon files to Program Files/World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons (i think that's the path, I know I put it in the addons folder) thinking that it would solve this. It didn't. Did the /wver thing again, still nothing. Tried uploading and it just says No Data To Upload.

Help?

The profile isn't adding my crit percentage from weapon specializations.

Can Wowreader display whats in my bank?

My problem is this ever since I have installed WoWreader I can not see any system messages like when I type /roll or /random, and it doesnt display when my friends come back online and such. I asked Blizzard about it and they said it pointed to my UI, now I am currently only useing TiTan Panel and the Reader, and I was able to view the messages before the reader so I was wondering if the WoW Reader could be causing this?

I'm having the same problem. Pre 1.11 and post 1.11. But I just figured out the solution. (never looked into it before)

It has to do with the shortcut made in the Start menu. Rightclick the shortcut to WowReader and remove the 'uifiles' from the target folder option.
Executing wowreader.exe directly works like a charm. So..

Before (broken) "C:\Games\WoW\Interface\AddOns\WowReader\uifiles\"
After (working) "C:\Games\WoW\Inderface\AddOns\WowReader\"

Hope this will help someone in need, and sorry for my bad english. :)

When you run wowreader, it will copy the needed files over to the addons folder, so you can install it anywhere like a normal program. If /wver isnt working, the first thing to check is that wowreader is pointed at the right location - select location from the file menu and browse to your wow directory and select wow.exe to lock onto it. Next, load wow and at character select, click the addons button and make sure its listed and not disabled.

I've just seen this plugin and like it already, much easier to keep track of all the chars.

Just thinking of an extra feature:
Is it possible to include also the trade skills in the upload?
What i mean is if it is possible to get also a list of the "items" you can make with blacksmithing or with cooking/Leatherworking/Tailoring etc.. etc..

Could be usefull if you wanna find somebody that is able to make a certain item on the server you are playing.

When I start WoW Reader it shows this error:

Version check failed. WoWreader is disabled pending update.(expected 5428, got 5462)DONT PANIC! If WoW was patched in the last day or 2, it may take some time for a new version to appear. Please try starting WoWReader again later to check for updates.

I tryed downloading the current WoWReader again and it shows the same messege. Please help.

here was updtaed, howeover now have a bug: they don't saving the right password :/

i put my password, click save, and when i click connect i got login fail, when i go check, the field of the password, the password (***) is more longer than my password is...
