All right, this is getting pretty ridiculous.

For whatever reason, WoW reader will NOT update my main character's profile. It has absolutely no problem updating the profiles of my alts on the same server and the same accounts as of today, but it refuses to update my main's. I have been trying for hours...my alts continue to update but my main refuses my update past 4/25/06.

An example...

My main character's profile:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?2670

My alt's profile:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?777965

Once again, these characters are on the SAME Alla account, same WoW account, same server, same faction, same guild even. What is going on here?

Now I tried doing a manual upload and it's gotten worse, my profile has now reverted to the one I had about 5 months ago stating it is updayed as of today. What. The. hell.

And by the way, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling WoWreader...twice. AND disabling all other add-ons. AND restarting WoW reader.

I just had to stop using Wowreader...its just soooo NOT user friendly to those of us that don't understand how it works...and all the ridiculous tweaks or actions you have to go thru to even get it to say its uploading..then realize it never did a thing in the first place. I am now using another program that I have to update manually but, at least i know its correct. Only thing i wish these updaters would have..is items listed in the banks...but, anyway this is a NEW game maybe one day some will figure out how to get these programs to run easily and smoothly.

lol it works fine, you run it and hit the upload button

if you cant figure that out...uhh...

My WoWreader is working fine until I get to the login part. I'm not sure is the password I enetered is right, because it keeps saying "Login Failed. Check you login name and password." I don't have the old email with my password in it, so is there a way I can get a password resend or something? Then my WoWreader might work.

Thank you.

***EDIT***
I found the password resend by logging out and getting one. That was the problem, as my WoWreader is now working.

I was finally able to resolve the WoWReader issue I was having, details below for those who might have a similar problem:

Couldn't upload profile data (although it was being correctly captured in game), kept getting a "Can't resolve remote server name" window immediately after "Patch.xml" started to download.

Didn't have any special settings in XP Internet Connections. Noticed that after I attempted to upload, I got some HD and floppy activity, typically indicating a Norton Internet Security/Norton Anti-Virus issue. I had previously entered the Allakhazam web address as one to be trusted under all circumstances.

Temporairly disabled Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti-Virus, and the profile upload worked like a charm.

Hope this helps someone else in addition to me!

You probably have some sort of incorrect proxy settings in IE. Go to internet options, under the connections tab, and lan settings, and make sure you dont have an incorrect proxy set there.

I am getting the following error message: "Error downloading update: the underlying connection was closed: the remote name could not be resolved."

I hoped that uninstalling and reinstalling would fix it, but no dice. What do I do?

Hmm, when i start WoWReader i get the following error:
Error downloading update: The undelying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.

I then can press ok, and get into the Reader, where i can see:
Login: MetteOlsen, Profiles: 2 waiting.

When i then press update i then error:
Connection error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

So what do i do now ?

I was wondering if there is somekind of limit to the amount of items uploaded - since WoWReader resets to its prior amount when i reach about 8900 items - Does this mean that i cannot upload anymore or items, or does allakazam still register my uploaded data?

Ok i have correst proxy settings. All right internet working fine etc. Is it possible that the server pc of the LAN im in, is blocking this connection via a firewall or something like that?
