Only health.

By about 10 health/tick. Give and take. Depends on class I think.

My Rogue gets an additional 10 health per tick while my Shaman only gets about 7.

It's true.. Scout's honor.

I noticed it when I was grinding in Tanaris with my Rogue. Whenever I sat down my regen would go from 23 to 33.

My Shaman's regen goes from 16-17 to 23 when I sit. Haven't noticed a change in mana regen and amount of spirit doesn't seem to affect it (my Druid has about 200 spirit, my Rogue about 34, but they have about the same regen increase).

I'm using the Titan mod add-on "Regen" .. download the newest Titan Panel and it should be included as a built-in feature.

I would have said it had no effect. Actually, my answer would have been :

Jord The Stupid Joker wrote:

For the first 10 seconds, it would make no difference. After the first 10 seconds, you would get 10 health. Then, every five seconds, you would get one more health, so like 11, 12 ... etc. Mana works the same way but starts at 12. Also, if you get the clear mind ability, you get extra mana regen

But heh, I guess I'm wrong and it does have an effect. As soon as I'm finished waiting in this ridiculously long queue I'll check it for myself.

One of the few things I don't miss.

Yes, it does increase the rate of health regen and i beleive mana regen also..but considering im a warrior i dont know for sure, and the amoung of regen depends on the amount of spirit you have.

Nevermind. I stand corrected. --post edited--

It appears that sitting does generate HEALTH faster.

I don't believe the amount of increased regen is based on your amount of spirit. As I mentioned before, my Druid has 200 spirit while my Rogue has about 34 or something low like that, but the regen increase is identical.

My Shaman has more spirit than my Rogue, but a lower regen increase when sitting.

Sitting does NOT regen anything faster unless you are drinking/eating. Get yourself a tick monitor and check for yourself. This isn't EQ.

Read my posts.

I use Titan Regen to check and I get an increase of 7-10 health per tick when sitting. I'll go and do a little experiment to back up the info, but for now you'll have to trust me on that one :)

Triple post, sorry.

I did a little experiment with spirit/no spirit and sitting/standing to see how it affected my mana and health regen.

First picture.

Here I'm standing with base spirit (60) and my regen is 14 health and 27 mana per tick.

Second picture.

Here I'm sitting with base spirit (60) and my regen is 18 health and 27 mana per tick.

As you can see, sitting does not have any effect on your mana regen.

Third picture.

Here I'm standing with spirit bonus on (93 total spirit) and my regen is 17 health and 34 mana per tick.

Fourth picture.

Here I'm sitting with spirit bonus on (93 total spirit) and my regen is 22 health. Unfortunately my mana pool was regenerated before I managed to hit the screenshot button, but the mana regen was still 34 per tick.

As you can see from comparing those four pictures, sitting down gave me about +5 to my health regen. More spirit increased my base regen, but it did not increase the +5 health regen.

Hopefully this cleared up some thing. I sure hope those links work.

This has been a very interesting read. I’ve been playing this game since the day it came out and I’m still learning new things. I had no idea heath regenerated faster when sitting. I don’t think its going to make a large change in how I play the game, but its nice to know nonetheless.

Thanks for the enlightenment.

Hmm....my main is a priest and I could've swore sitting increased mana regen....especially during longer fights like say....Hakkar where mana regen is pretty important.

Between rotations or whatever I'd sit and it would SEEM like it fills up a little faster....but I don't know for sure.

But maybe I'm just seeing things, or imagining things I want to see.

Mazra, what is the add-on called that shows hp and mana bars on the side of your character? Sorry, couldn't find this anywhere!

Just seems that way because sitting prevents you from casting any spells, and that mana comes back fast outside of the 5-second rule.

So..... according to Mazra's research:

It would seem that a 33 point increase in spirit relates to a 7 point gain in mana/tick. Or roughly 5 spirt to 1 mana per tick. Which seems pretty dismal.

Does your ammount of regeneration/tick scale as a percentege of your total mana/health per level? Or does it only go up by the ammount of spirit you gain by increasing that level?

It's the Nurfed HUD mod.

Get it here or here.
