By the Broomstick something-or-another (can't rember what it's called exactally), there's a ramp outside of it to go in and the sign...I got stuck between those and kept trying to jump out. I whispered some guy who was walking by "How do I get unstuck!?" And he was helpful and told me to hearth. I felt like and idiot for not thinking about that and then (well, this was actually about 22-ish levels ago) I was like..."I can teleport to Org!"

:) Kinda embarrassing...

You can laugh at me for these.

+I hit level 15 and made my way to Ratchet, hopped onto the boat and ended in BB. Asked my friend (who was afk...) what level 'stranglethorn vale' was. No reply. Can't be that bad, right? All the buccaneers are dead so I wander past some dead gorrila's and turn where you get the ST Fever quest.

'Level ??' I thought. Ignoring the little skull. 'Oh! I must have to kill it to see the level since I haven't been here before!'

So my little Tauren Warrior waddles up to the Gorrila and hit him with some random white mace that my friend made. Then he attacks me and I'm thinking 'WTF. Stop attacking me! :('

I die and res. Run into BB and decide to make my way to the barrens. End up near dustwallow and decide 'it's near the barrens, it can't be too high.'

Wander in. With broken armour and get my guts ripped out by a croc.

:(

So, I level to 22 and ask where I should head next. My friend says Hillsbrad. Awesome! I check my map and see the way should be through WPL. I make my way to the entrance and this level 60 is there. I wander in and before I notice the ?? something attacks me. The 60 jumps in, saves my life and asks where I'm going. Hillsbrad, I tell him.

He proceeds to laugh at me and points me in the right direction. >,<

I only figured out recently how to navigate while swimming... I'm 44. I always had an untold fear of swimming because I'd always drown. xD

Go on laugh away. :P

My Hunter was 16 before I taught my pet how to Growl; was wondering why Mr. Raptor couldn't hold aggro!

Had to call my friends and ask how to get to Princess in Maraudon :(

Not me, but a guildy last night asked why on his Character Screen it said his Damage Range x90%; he was yelling up a storm about having a debuff he couldn't get rid of; we promptly told him to switch out of Defensive Stance! Since he was level 50, we then promptly laughed at him XD

Best n00b moment ever: Rolling Alliance Bwahaha!

I didn't know you could repair your equipment when i was about lvl10, so i threw it away when it was broken, and i ran almost naked untill i found new gear... lol

I was walkin around UC the other day and this lvl 7 comes up to me and starts yankin on me for gold. So I tell him very kindly no and just walk away. So I get to the elevator to go to the zep, and the guy is still following me. He asks me again and i say no. Then he starts spamming it. But instead of putting him on my ignore list i decide to see if he is noob or not. So I walk all the way up to SM and he follows and pulls every guard in the area. I then proceeded to laugh at him hysterically and he quit bothering me

LOL!!!!!
During the first few days, lvl 3 human warrior, didnt know you could switch classes and races, thought u the game chooses one for you, I always looted armor thinking the durability was the most important so I used to switch between two leggings whenever one had lower durability. Aloso, used to folow this one guy around killing the mobs after he attacked them first thinking i would get Xp as well. Didnt know how to switch the camera view until i accidently moved the mouse while holding it down.

1. As a lvl 16 NE druid, and my first ever character - i got a little bored so i decided to go on an adventure and explore the 'World' - made it into lvl ?? (round 50) horde territory and of course kept dying. Didn't know i could 'hearth' it out of there - so with '0' durability on all items i started to 'bunny-hop' (die-res-run-die-res-run-etc) it back the way i came. After dying over 20 times along one path and not making it too far after res-ing. I even tired running in wisp-form all the way back to my Ally lvl area and res at the local graveyard - but of course i ended up at the graveyard closet to my body. This graveyard was by the ocean, so i decided that if i swam AROUND the continent i could wash up on the shore of where i needed to be. After 2 hours of swimming i remembered that i was A DRUID!! and could teleport!!! not to mention my hearth stone.... which i didn't figure out until another character later when i fell off a barrens cliff into dustwallow marsh at low level - and thought - #@%^!!! not again! sheesh!

2. Got to lvl 35ish as a hunter before i realised that 'I' had to train my pet. That just buying training wasn't enough.

3. And this is just hopelessness - first few times to both TB and TN i fell off the lifts and died - not to mention falling off the pinnacles in TN all the time (and getting caught mid-fall on a ledge - dying - and the only way to reach my body to res was a carefully planned repeat plunge off the same pinnacle to reach that annoying ledge)

I used a soulstone on my self instead of using it on a priest. This happened in S and needless to say the whole party was yelling at me...heh. I just clicked on the wrong target :(

I had a dream about your name Linus. I worked out what "LinusRed" means. Unfortunatley I forgot when I woke up. Then I had to ask myself why I was dreaming about such a thing... when you get to 6000 posts do you get the powers of mind control?

*scared*

Anyway, my newbie stories involve:

Trying to change clothes whilst corpse running.

Trying to do leatherworking whilst waiting for my Res timer to reset.

Trying to do leatherworking whilst flying.

Erm... a lot more that involve trying to do things whilst dead. I spent a lot of time dying.

I spent the first 14 levels of my Rogue with a dagger worse than a skinning knife, had to make an alt to Blacksmith me a new dagger (which took me till level 11) because I couldn't even kill same level mobs with it.

i had already posted this in another thread but this is a total newbie story. i was a lvl 3 and decided i would start exploring to get experience points. i died a few times along the way as i wandered around but nothing serious. that was until i ended up wandering straight into the plauglands. w/in about,o, two minutes i was under seige by diseased bears and giant spiders. it was a feast for them im sure. not so good for me. i was trapped there for what felt like forever, rezzing then dying. rezzing then dying. repeat. finally, i moved my pathetic corpse far enough away that when i rezzed the final time i was able to run like hell and get out of there. and then i did the walk of shame back to deathknell.

Just love those Barrens cliffs - they make sure you can't accidently fall into a 'safe' area like Mulgore but you can fall into Dustwallow and the really bad parts of Ashenvale (like I did). LoL I couldn't even hearthstone out without waiting almost an hour because I had just used mine recently.

I haven't fallen off a Tauren lift yet but I did manage to fall down the elevator in the Undercity because I was running to beat the door before it shut and jumped and apparantly the floor falls as fast as you fall and it's a long, long way down.

I'm still a newb and still do dumb things though mostly related to my keyboard. I was trying to run using "w" but had starting to use the chat to say something while running and ended up just standing there filling my chat bar with "wwwwwwww" (didn't 'send' it though). Good way to make a first impression on a possible group partner. LoL

Another newb thing I still do on occasion is to not notice that some creatures (especially ones many levels above me) are 'yellow' and will go out of my way to avoid them thinking they will attack me.

LinusRed is the name of a character I made in the MMO CoH. Probably one of my most well developed characters. *Mind controlls Gags off a cliff*

I've already contributed to this thread (way back on page 3, wow) but I got a friend of mine to play (troll hunter), and she's had a few growing pains. Such as...

Refusing to buy abilities so she could save for her mount. Including aspect of the cheetah. (I convinced her to buy it eventually)

Falling into Refuge Pointe.

Forgetting to buy arrows. Repeatedly. (You're empty AGAIN?!)

Managing to fall off a cliff into Aerie Peak.

And, worst of all, having her character /follow mine then going AFK. Thus far I've managed to drown her, burn her alive and walk her off a cliff... all while staying alive myself of course =]

Actually, the only one who was pissed was some asshat rogue. The priest knew it was an accident since they probably have played a Lock before.

When I started out (which is recently, so I'm still a newbie) I was too afraid to go on a PVP server because I thought that meant anybody could just kill me on sight, as in people in the same faction, lol. I'm sure there are still lots of overly obvious things I don't know about yet, but it's amazing how helpful the game manual actually is in that regard.

On my first character, my hunter, I used to run around everywhere with Aspect of Cheetah. I used to wonder why I was always dazed when a enemy hit me, finally someone told me to read the description :d
