I have the same problem with my druid. for some reason when i edit more than one texture on a model the models dont load into the game, i can see a little shadow running around, but no body and nothing to click on. This has caused problems with me being group healer :-( although i found if you inspect the person they show up, its just the inital load you cant see them :-/ if that makes sense. i dont dare play my horde characters now because if i run into a NE that has this problem i have a feeling i wont be able to click on them which means i cant fight back which means i wont live to long :-/

I think it has to do with when you import a file into the MyWoWStudio thing you cant select a folder to put it in... maybe... (or at least i cant)

Etern:

Google IrfanView, download it, install it, love it. Oh, and use it as so:

Hit Image, New blah blah, set the two boxes to 1 and 1. Simple! I'll try to Skin thing.

I see, downloaded your program, created new image, saved as the appropriate name and as a TGA, placed it in the Data file.
Still no go for me though. Let me know how yours goes.

Exactly what I did, Etern...TGA file named HumanFemaleNakedTorso00_01.blp or whatever it was, haven' tried the Skin yet...
#131 Jul 08 2005 at 1:10 PM Rating: Decent
Ah, let me know if it works, cause I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
#132 Jul 08 2005 at 6:15 PM Rating: Default
Well, I did it. First, C&P textures.mpq (?) into some OTHER directory...Desktop/Games? Anyway, then use IrfanView to create the file, NightElfFemaleNakedTorsoSkin00_05.blp, in TGA format. Then, open your textures.mpq with MyWarcraftStudio, edit the .mpq file, REMOVE NightElfFemaleNakedTorsoSkin00_05.blp, put in NightElfFemaleNakedTorsoSkin00_05.blp.tga as it calls it. Then boot up WoW and there you go! No top for the blue elf :D

Ahh I see, thanks for clearing that up Slinkey, its up and working for me. Thanks again!

Ok, This is an amazing feature and would be awesome if I knew how to implement it into the game. Rugburnone...I know you have explained it enough or anyone has but I still have no clue how to do these tasks. I am trying to make my Druid have the skull stave and full wildheart set but the models and textures....I dont know how to. If someone could please explain to me how to do it in laymens terms :) (meaning understandble)

Just wondering does the Ancient Core Hound retain it's size when you do it for Druid transforms, or does it fit Druid size? I know when a Forsaken got a Kodo it seemed smaller than a Tauren Kodo (could have been same size though I guess) so wondering if it scales or anything. Considering Ragnaros was full sized in that IF picture, I'm guessing they don't change size ;p

Btw, since there seem to be a lot of how do I get it naked questions, don't forget the 00_05.blp only works on one skin color. You have to find your character's shade of skin (or make them all naked). This is only easy if you are a human, as you can easily tell where skin color starts, and where it ends, since it goes from white to black. God knows where Troll or Forsaken skin color starts. Or you can use Mywow thing to look at skin colors.

Silly people!
Ok, so you want your character to loose his/her underwear?
The answer would be yes, you know you want to! ;)

First you need MyWarcraftStudio...
from CurseGaming...
Download this folder to your desktop and run the file indide.
Click Pack > Edit MPQ Archive, you should be given a list of .MPQ files, open texture.MPQ
Once its loaded, open the Character folder, and choose the relevant Race/Gender. Now find the underwear textures, they will be named something like:
HumanFemaleNakedTorsoSkin00_01.blp
Click the file, right click it and select Extract and save it somewhere in a folder on your desktop just to back it up.
Now right click it again and select Remove File, click OK - done!
The same process goes for:
HumanFemaleNakedPelvisSkin00_01.blp
NightElfFemaleNakedTorsoSkin00_03.blp
etc.
If you want to put the underwear back simply drag the BLPs you backed up into the Data folder which is in...
My Computer > Local Disk C > Program Files > World of Warcraft

The tricky part is editing the textures, for those who arent very good with computers I wouldnt recomend trying, it would take me ages to explain!
I've managed to give my female Nightelf nipples but for some reason there is much black distortion, something to do with MipMap levels.
Basically, I extracted a .TGA file from MyWarcraftStudio, edited it in PhotoShop, and converted it into a .BLP2 (.BLP is not the correct format).
I got the TGA to BLP2 converter from:
Vjeux...
This is the only one which works, though there is black distortion and it can only convert square files.
There are 2 other converters but they just crash the game!
Tech's Stuff...
CurseGaming...
Anyway, if you wanna try your BLP2 file just drag it into Data.
Ive had some fun just swapping model and skin files though, I've created a purple Tauren which rode a Unicorn, I've made myself a black SeaGiant, a ThunderLizzard... lol the list goes on!
I'll post some screeshots soon, you will laugh so much that you pee a little. Seriously.
Anyway, have fun messing with WoW! ^^
LoveLoveLove Love Love.

You are a god among mortals!
*goes away to edit some pictures*
#141 Jul 10 2005 at 7:10 AM Rating: Decent
so I've made a text file and renamed it to NightElfFemaleNakedPelvisSkin00_00.blp
Copy paste, and replace Pelvis with Torso.
then I copy pasted it 7 times each and renamed them to 00_01.. 00_03 etc. Now, wow crashes when I log in.

There is no REMOVE option for me on mywarcraftstudio, am I doing something wrong?
#143 Jul 10 2005 at 9:42 AM Rating: Default
Monkeychewer,
This may be a bit time consuming, but you need to find the textures and models (if required) for you current armour, and write down the names of the .BLP/.M2 files. Now you need to find the Wildheart textures and models, and for each bit click File > Extract file to... now locate your Data folder and save it there as the names of you current armour.
Xalandra,
Make sure you are editing an MPQ archive, and not just viewing it.
To do so, you need to click on Pack, and then "Edit MPQ Archive", instead of just File and "Open MPQ Archive".
Hope this helps!

where u dl it from? and is it easy to change the armor models, etc?
#149 Jul 10 2005 at 11:37 AM Rating: Default
look up winrar in google and click on the trial english version. And no I am still learning on how to change character models. It is not easy but I'm sure when your lvl 1 mage is wearing felheart raiment set youll be happy. Note: You do not actually own these armors/weapons. All it is is changing the look of your own model. You do not get the bonusus or anything either. And btw, only you can see the changes:)
