WowReader Issues and HelpFollow

#527 Feb 04 2006 at 4:37 PM Rating: Decent
Is there any chance we can get the maelstrom server on the list... Also I uploaded my info and then when I click on "Your Characters" in the left frame it only says "World of Warcraft character profiles are created using Wow Reader.", and yes I am logged in :)

Thanks for the time

The server was temporarily down. It's back and running again now.

Are you using the 'automatically detect proxy settings' option in IE, or did you enter them yourself?

This might have been answered before, but it's hella long.

I get a error and it says

Quote:
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xcdc (3292, Thread id=0x78c (1932)

Does the error come up right away when you start it? Have you had WowReader working previously without issue?

I found a problem preventing caches from expiring properly on updates. It should be fixed now, and profiles will again update immediately after being uploaded.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes:

The new version of the Profiler lists the interesting stats of your item set - however it does not include damage enchants. For my mage that means the following is missing in the stats:
+30 on weapon
+18 on shoulders
+18/1% hit on head and legs

I'm having trouble with my profile simply not updating itself.

I'm logged in at wowreader and got the 1.54 addon running ingame but still when I check my wowreader that's running it simply doesn't have anything to update according to gear, quests, creatures and on Lua data it says n/a under the old column.

All columns Old, waiting and uptadet it's only zeros.

So any idea on what to do about this?

I have deleted all files and programs for Wowreader and re d/l and reinstalled them and still the same problem.

heres the funny problem, ... I exit the update window, .. and the process is still running in the process tree, ... I have to reboot to get it out of the list. Any Idea whats wrong, ...

Hello everyone,

Im not sure if this is a new feature of the reader or not. But I'm noticing the Reputation Tab is really out of date.Maybe not out of date, because some entries look sort of right. While others that have been "Honored" for a long time are showing as "friendly".

To make things more confusing everything else is up to day. Level, Inventory, Equipment .. etc.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Post the contents of the patch.log file from your wowreader directory.

I'm having problems with the new reputation tab also.

my profile:
http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?109719

Ironforge rep is being reported as exalted (19317/42000), but it should read as revered (19317/21000)

Magram centaurs is being reported as friendly (-7725/6000), but it should be hostile or hated

Zandalar Tribe is being reported as revered (9027/21000), but I just got to revered my last run through ZG, and (if i recall correctly) i should be at revered (27/21000)

There might be other errors, but those three are the most obvious.

After the new changes to the profiles, the set bonus for 2 set rank 12/13 gear is still not displaying (15 stam).

The set bonus for 2 set rogue ZG set isn't displaying either. (20 attack power)

http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?759632

profile is missing 15 stam and 20 ap from the amounts displayed in game.

Main (agi, str, etc) Stats from Item Set bonuses should now be adding up properly. Profiles will reflect the changes as they get updated.

Hi there,
There's a bug with displaying +attackpower and wrong +hit in the characterview here on the website. The enchant on head and legs from zul'gurub is missing. I guess Because the enchant buffs three Stats instead of one like most enchants. Just count the +hit on my gear. The 2 from head and legs are missing. My Profile

Will this be fixed?

Greetings Noneus

PS: Sry if this was posted before.

Edit: Thanks for the fixing. The calculatiosn are correct now.

Well, I've read the whole thread, and it seems that the questions of "will there a mac version" and "will it be possible to collect data on EU realms for at least english clients" are never really answered.

As for Mac, I think Master Shadowspyre found a way to use the WoWReader on a Mac on page 4. Involves using PC emulators.

And as for Eu clients, I think hundreds or thousands are waiting for a possibility to upload the data they gather, would be cool to hear something aboit it.

It also looks like the thread is really clattered with outdated posts. Maybe it's about time to update the first post as a FAQ or create a separate one?
I think I've seen explanations that "the ammount of ***** is not related to your password" and that "after patches WoWReader won't immediately work" at least a dozen of times.

Thanks!

From the logs, it seems you have a proxy set to http://localhost:8080/. It looks like it's returning an old cached version of wowreader.exe when it goes to download the update. You can try either disabling or adjusting the proxy, or try downloading http://lucy.allakhazam.com/wr/wowreader.exe another way and replacing it yourself (but if your proxy is still keeping it cached, you may still keep getting the old version).
