I'd like to lend my support to the requests for a Mac version, and make a request for the possibility of a non-.NET version for Windows or a version for Linux. Would be nice if everyone could participate.

Hopefully WoWReader is updated to suit our EU version 4196. Love the program :)

Well, WoWReader rarely works at this time of night. I get more errors when trying to update my data. I don't understand why it does this & then works fine during the day.

I have resistances on several item I'm wearing. Non are buffs. I only see a 5 in each column even though some are higher then 5. Why aren't they reflected in my profile.

I know you mentioned your working on a mac version of wowreader and apparently have no eta. no eta = usually a long long time. In the meantime is there any way for your paying customers (like me) to manually create a profile, maybe by telnetting our SavedVariables.lua file to your server, or letting us manually enter the info like we did when creating our profiles in EQ?

I know websites like WoWcensus can take our manually transmitted files.

Thanks,

Sin

Wow reader working great other than a minor bug. I play a Warlock and my Sta and hps are being misreported low. This is a difference of about 300hps. This may be due the fact that I use Demonic Embrace as one of the skills that gives 15% more stamina and 5% less spirit.

Thanks

hello,

I have been experiencing the same exact problem too.

But judging from the lack of responses to problems here, it does not look good for a solution? or answer?

Hi, new to the forums.
I have downloaded WoWreader.
Installed the reader
Ran wow, logged in and loaded char, exited.
Then i ran the WoWreader.

The reader doesnt run. it will open for a split second and close, it doesnt stay in the processes it just dissappears.

I have WoW installed under E:/World of Warcraft. instead of the default C:/program files/World of Warcraft/. I think this could be the issue but I dunno.

I don't get an error. I wish i did so i knew what was wrong. Could this be a missing needed file? I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling with no avail. Please Help. Also, im using windows XP.

in addition to my previous post about mac and linux, it would be nice to have a non-gui version of wowreader for windows. or a non-.net version.

I just uploaded my profile http://wow.allakhazam.com/profile.html?43250
and everything is right, except it doesn't show the Lifestealing enchants on both my weapons.

Also, the Ghostshroud and Blademaster pants both have 20 fire res from librams, and this resistance does not show up in the resistance side (only shows 7 from my necklace, when should show 47).

Why would you want a console version or care if .NET is used?

As for a linux version, thats something that would require rewriting it entirely in another language, and then maintaining a seperate code base. There simply arent enough users running wow on linux who would want to use wowreader to justify that sort of thing, in my opinion.

Rale,

What's up with profile stats being totally off? I should have like 128STR and it's reporting 111? How am I supposed to show off my e-unit if my profile's not correctly showing my r33tn355? Smiley: lol

Seriously though, any ideas?

Just put in a fix for incorrrectly calculating stats, including many ways of showing resists on an item. Also, we've found your lifestealing procs and put back on your profile, HakuryuStormrage :)

Got the following error after clicking on the Upload button:

Connection Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond properly after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

This is the first time I have received this error message. Any ideas whats up?

1) because a console version can be automated. i can make a nice simple script that runs my upload after each session for me.

2) because i dont have .net framework installed on most of my windows machines

3) because either of those (console .net, graphical non-.net) would work in linux, or even be emulatable on a mac

See #3 above (also consider releasing the source :) )

Hello folks. I guess you are knee-deep in keeping up with the WoW pathces and working ont the PC version. Just wondering if you could give us a little morsel of info on the Mac side. Are you working on it still/again? Has it been shelved for the moment?

Any info would be better than no info.

Thanks,
