Mmm... just got this, and uploaded all my info, while being logged on and everything, yet it seems no charecter comes under my profile. Does this take awhile to load up or something?

When I try to update my profile it lookslike it goes though, but when I check my profile it stays the same. Can you please offer suggestions.

Can you try uploading again? I see 1 attempt from you yesterday, but no profile uploaded at that time. Try logging in and out of wow and giving it another shot.

I see a few connections from your IP but not logged into your account. Go to options->login, check 'log in', enter your login and pw and hit save. On the main window, it will say "Login: anonymous, Profile: disabled" if you aren't logged in, otherwise it will show your username.

Mmm... still having trouble with it, I deleted the wow.db2 (The file that lets you send a refreshed list again), and made sure that I was logged in (It has my name on the bottom, Koio, along to the right it says profile: None, Waiting.

So, I refreshed again, and sent the whole list, yet unfortantly it still doesn't have my charecter listed.

I tried restarting, logging back on, and doing it again just to make sure... did not work.

Mmmm.. am I doing something wrong? I am 100% sure I am logged in.

quick question, do we need to re-download the EXE from the website and re-install anytime you fix something (like the problem with ItemsMatrix)?

or does WoWReader automatically patch itself every single time you run it?
#431 May 21 2005 at 2:59 PM Rating: Decent
I beleive it automatically patchs every time.

Koio: Can you log in type /wver to make sure the ui portion is loading? It will give an unknown-command error if theres something wrong.

The WoWReader finds my character, but when i try to upload, it cant login 'cause of wrong password. I go and check login details, and there are more letters there than i wrote. I rewrite the password, hit save, and the same happends all over.. I go in to check login details again, same problem.

Two requests:

1) <snip>

2) WoWReader doesn't seem to work well for playing multiple characters. It will only upload the last one you logged out. Are you going to make this work for all characters so we can upload them all at one time when we're done playing WoW?

Regarding point 2 above, this is the main weakness in an excellent programme. I have a couple of characters and therefore the ability to 'record' one characters details for later upload when I switch to a second character would be great. Anything planned in the development timeline on this?

An idea brought up elsewhere in this forum, thought I'd put it up here.

Could you add in to save the player's inventory and bank and upload that list with the profile? I run our guild's bank on a number of mules and this would make my job a million times easier. We've toyed with mods like GIRD and PlayorMerchant but can't find a good, easy way to let everyone in the guild know what's in the bank.

Well, I just read through this whole thread, so I really don't think I missed any kind of announcement, so here goes.

Is a Mac version still forthcoming?

I see it's been asked quite a bit, but it just seems to be skipped over whenever the alla deities come around to answer the questions. I'm not trying to be a prick, nor am I accusing anyone of anything. I'm just wondering if we should still hold hope that one is on the way, or if it's been cut.

Thanks in advance guys!

I have not read this entire thread, so forgive me if this was answered but I don't have time to read it all. (A FAQ of some sort would REALLY be helpful, this thread is awfully long)

My problem is that WoWReader isn't loading at all. It used to work though, but just quit. I was playing more on a another computer and switched back to this one but it worked soon after the switch, but no longer. /wver is an unknown command.

Thanks for any help you can give.

You're all probably going to tell me I'm daft or something, but...

Might I ask why character profiles are only viewable by those logged into Allakhazam? I only just noticed, because apparently I've been logged in all the other times I checked, but when I wasn't logged in the link to my character is blank. I thought somehow something had changed in the way to link to the character, or that my last upload somehow screwed up so badly that a blank character was the result, so I logged in to find out what the latest link was. It hadn't changed, but now my data was filled in.

Are there any plans to allow non-logged-in people to see linked characters? After all, not everyone who plays WoW and has an interest in it has an Allakhazam account. If nothing else, a note on the page (if the person isn't logged in) stating one must have an account to view characters, with links to log in and to register, would be a good idea.

nesta: Log in to wow and click on Addons when you get to character select, and make sure its not disabled.

playfulkitten: I'm not sure why it came up blank for you, but theres no requirement that you have an account or be logged in to view profiles.

Downday: I would suggest that you try changing your password on the site, then re-entering the new one. Note that both your login and password are case sensitive.

That was exactly it, thanks very much for the quick response!

I am using wowreader now for several weeks. I general I think it's working OK for my setup.
What confuses me is this...

http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/%7Ea9401542/images/wowreader.gif

I never ever saw updates of items, quests or creatures shown. Is this OK?

I'll try it again, then. I tried it in a different browser I don't normally use and it did come up. So I'll log out within my primary browser, clear my cache, and see if it still comes up or if it's blank.

Thanks! It's nice to know that perhaps my browser was fooling with me, rather than character profiles not being available to non-users. :)

Could you *please* make an option available to create a character like on the EQ allas? I cant get WoWReader to work no matter what directions in this thread I follow...I am stuck with a character I made last *november* who is no longer level 20...and wearing looted armor.

I personally have NO problem whatsoever actyally typing, and clicking, and otherwise entering my own data....HINT HINT HINT
