I'm not looking for anything elaborate, but could somebody give a quick explanation on how wands work? Basically:
-Is there a recast/reuse timer?
-Is there a casting time?
-Are there charges?
-Are they in the offhand only? Can you dual wield them?

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. No
4. It's a ranged item.

basically it's like a bow or gun for a caster, works the same way.

1. There is a cooldown on them depending on the speed of the wand.
2. No casting time its instant.
3. No charges, its unlimited.
4. They go in your ranged slot.

additional info: Wands fire by you picking your ranged attack from your abilities. They do not autocast either... you have to hit their hotkey everytime to fire them.

Reuse time is based on the wand itself, so if your wand has 1.8 speed, its recast will be longer then one with a speed of 1.0. I use wands alot and this seems to be the case. There is a button a "spell" if you will to "cast" the wand, its like a free small dmg spell

Thanks. Two more questions:
Do they drain mana? I assume not.
Can they be interrupted/delayed by taking damage?

Do guns or bows drain mana? Neither do wands.

Can guns or bows be interrupted? Neither can wands.

Wands are ranged weapons that do energy damage instead of physical damage. They work just like other ranged weapons.

Wands are not considered spells. Although they inflict fire, or shadow, or arcane damage, they are still considered a physical attack. Your attack rating and the creature's armor still come into play. (I'm wondering if agility ups the damage...)

Wands are nice because they're free distance damage, but, the damage is less than you will do melee even as a mage, and the mashing of the button between recast timers is so annoying that I wouldn't honestly label wands completely worthless.

It's a shame, too. They were awesome back in phase 2 before they added the recast timer.
