Ifi I can find the page I will link it but the only explanation I can think of is that after one of the wars, the orcs settled in Durotar and the trolls settled on a tropical island off the coast. I guess they developed this accent because Blizzard apparently thinks that anyone that lives on a tropical island has a Jamaican accent. *LOL*
as long as nobody sounds like jar jar, i'll be fine.

It's not just where they live. It's their whole style. Blizzard portrays the trolls as a voodoo / witchdoctor / headhunter type culture...
Note: A few of them were on a couple episodes of Gilligans Island...

Trolls = Jamacan's
Night Elves = Romans italian
Dwarfs = Scottish
Undead = English (thats who they remind me of)
Gnomes = ?????
Orcs = ????? (i'm thinking russian)
Humans = ????? (i'm thinking american)
Tauran = Native american.

i really like the troll accent, its a great bit of fun and im very glad they kept it, its one of those extra touches from the warcraft series that the dedicated fans can go "hey i remember that"

yes humans are American's totally....but gnomes mmmm seem like maybe 2 generations later of crazy dwarfs.....they got high pitch voices and everything....under nerished...way less hair that any respctable dwarf....
oh and night elves remind me of buffy the vamp slayer for some reason....don't know just a wierd connection in my head i guess.

all fairly spot on.. except for the fact the dwarves arnt scottish! >.< bloody americans :P
dwarves in WoW are alot more british than scottish, so there.
but seriously.. they are more british than scottish, .. no.. really!
