Hero Class Guess ListFollow

Well, he did mention ANY allies, and typically that would mean someone on the same faction, IE Horde or Alliance. So, instead of auras working on party members, it would work on other people, like raid groups....that would be very interesting.
Quote:
options will be to get auras(much like a Paladins) that will positively effect ANY allies within a certain radius and/or auras that will negatively effect all enemies within a given radius.

they are keeping as much info as possible about the hero classes secret, truth be told i think they dont have much of it finalised, i mean they have about 3 to 6 months to work on it more and im very sure the hero classes will not be in the game at release.

months? It releases on the 23rd.....three days after your post it will be abailable for Unite States Residents....unless you're from Europe, then Beta Stress will be released in the 26th. Dunno where you got months from....unless the timer for the website is really really off.

Unless of course, they have an expasion that they intend of selling....like the heroes of azeroth expansion or something like that.

Id say a demon hunter would be a priest class with better melee skills and able to use that demon hunter blade thing. Its in the game i think but dunno what its called since i play orc. Demon hunters are just priests who delved into demonic magic to gain power. The odd thing is, some heroes are already classes, like paladin wich is something i thought was wierd at first. If they allowed multiclassing (which i can see why they dont) then you wouldnt need hero classes. Oh and with the MK, i dont see why he couldnt get bigger, arent there potions that do that? Add some AC bonus and HP bonus and you got your transformed MK : )

Making Hero classes start back at level 1 would be somewhat of a challenge, because you have to come up with 60 levels of spells for each hero class, maybe just letting Hero classes have a higher max level would be more fair you know, if you have to go back to lvl 1 with hero class it would either be way to easy to level, because you would have all the spells from 1-60 from your previous class, you would need all new equip (which is part of the challenge i guess), you would also need more quests. if you start back at level 1 you have already done all the quests and therefore getting money/exp/equipment will be much harder.

It might be nice if maybe it was a new class unlock for people who have leveled certain classes. Something hard to get akin to jedi in SWG. Only a diff system cause oh god i hated jedi grinding. But say you have to level a warrior and a rogue to 60, then you unlock the blademaster class....would add a lot of replay and diff options to it

"poopshoot:" the word is is that hero classes aren't a retail feature as of yet, and will most likely appear in an expansion.

qwestionator: as far as having all your abilities from your previous class.. if that even is the case, you still couldn't use your lvl 60 abilities from your old class until you had reached 60 in your new class, so you would have more options, certainly, but not unlimited mana, rage or energy... in fact what if your hero classes runs on rage... would you never have mana then? i highly doubt that as a hero you could use your old abilities, but i don't know... do you have any info on the subject?

also... from what i hear, hero classes will have new quests attending them, so you won't be restricted to largely grinding your way up, or to starting in a new newb area.

It was intended as more of a "new class" option rather then your restarting that same character, i had said it would either be a new class and u lvl that one up OR it would be a level cap add on kind of thing.

For example, a Mountain King is a dual-wielding warrior with a lot of stuns, true, but can a warrior quadruple in size? No.

not so acutaly.. ive been fighting voodoo troll witch doctors who shrink me, and ive also fought beserker troggs who do grow to allmost twice their size, so the prospect of an inflatable dorf hero isnt so far fetched.. if still rather humorious ^_^

Templar Knight, hero class upgrade for Paladin.

no intention to shoot your idea down here, but id rather a templar knight doesnt get brought in, paladin is a generic tearm for a warrior of god/s
the knights templar were a spesfic group in history, and direct connections to (the best of my knowledge) christianity.
stuff like RL religions are best left out of a fantasy setting like warcraft, especally with the religion behind the paladins in warcraft being called the holy light? i think thats what its called at least.
anouther name for it would be much better, knight defender, Knight of light ect.. i know cheesy names but im sure blizz can do much better than take a name from history to put in WoW, especally since the whole lore of their world is so cool.

Templar in starcraft...so blizz doesnt see that name the way u do =)

Oh and paladins are holy knights and the first knights named paladins were catholic i belive...it was a formation of religious nature just like the knights templar

differnt universe :P
starcraft could of evolved from our modernday world in the blizz timeline, thus it could have some place in the world... if it wernt for the fact the unit was a protoss >.<

but it just doesnt fit in the warcraft setting, in my opinion at least.
that is a good point though, they certinaly arnt afraid to use it.. not that theres any fear involved with the name.
of course just cause they used it once, might make them not want to do it again.
bleh its my hope anyways.
