Nice.

I have faith again!

Well, except for that blanket security concern after today's forum incident.

Argh, have tomorrow off and they decide to take the game down? What a crappy birthday present Blizzard.... /em shakes fist.

I don't know what I'm going to really do though, I suppose decide on which race I plan on playing and iron out a firm set of talents for retail.

Oh, and I hate HL2 by the way, the steam login just to PLAY the game is absurd. Makes me feel as though I've wasted $55 on a game.

yeah its a really huge hassle just to play a game.

Apparently someone managed to log in as Caydiem and started editing posts, saying stuff like "If you don't like it, then go buy EQ2".

Some hacker was able to edit moderator posts on the official www.worldofwarcraft.com forums (hence why they are down right now). Caused all kinds of havoc.

Thing is... If their forums share resources with their servers, etc., it may be REALLY scary that it would be this vulnerable. At least in my mind.

By the time it went down it still was uncertain if normal individuals were at risk as well as the moderators. It was also still unclear whether the hacker was able to see any account data or just edit moderator posts. The fact that they could only edit posts led many to hypothesize that they indeed did not have access to any specific account information, but simply gained moderator level access somehow.

I'll be watching the outcome closely none-the-less, because going into WoW I'm already deeply concerned about the inherent hack issues other Blizzard titles have had, i.e. Diablo2.

I am really sad about it but I know its for the best, because in the end, if they let me keep my hunter I'd probably never actually do the leveling with my friend as planned.

Oh well, knowing everything I know, I can level up like 50x's faster now.

I r the n00b13 qu33n

Sorry I'll stop now...

I know it is off topic, but...

Nice beta character Illia :). I am still debating if I am going to be a shaman come retail in a few days.

On topic: It will be nice to have everyone start out at the same time. My consirn is the newbie areas crowding, so i might not install the game until a few days after it comes out.

Our plan is to log on and get our names right away (as you notice some of our names will be 'common') and then run our lvl 1 butts to the next town and stop in the inn, and then log off for a few days cause we dont want to be murdered by lag in the first rush.

But that means when we come back we will lvl the same anyway.

So that is the plan =D

I'm ready to play. I've been working on EQ2 stuff for the past week, so going back to WoW will be a breath of fresh air.
