I had gateway build me a pretty hefty system for gaming, but the biggest problem was the amount of heat the system put out. My laptop has died three times because of heat related problems. Stick with either a Small Form Factor or a good Mid-Tower system for gaming.

yeah, my parents are debating the whole thing lol, on one side if i get a desktop thatll basically be my tv, and my parents wont bother spending extra cash on all the other cable channels. But then theres the fact that when i goto college in a couple, im gunna want a labtop. So i was wondering if you did know any real good companies that offer good gamin labtops

Falcon and Alienware are the only companies that I know of that make good gaming laptops. Asus makes a series of laptops but they are only for retailers to finish and sell. Which is kind of unfortunate. The problem with Falcon and Alienware is that they can run you up to about $4k.

Probably would be a good idea. Dell is well known for their systems. I would recommend them over Gateway and some of the other companies.
