I'm sorry so many people don't understand the impact you have had for the MMORPG community, or that Thottbot will not remain free and unmarred by ads forever. I stopped playing Everquest well over one subscription period ago, and when I thought about desubscribing, I just couldn't bring myself to it.

Now, that's my choice to spend the couple dollars each month for membership, but I don't see any reason for the other testers to get all pissy just because this site isn't their precious Thottbot and that...*gasp* you devote your whole livelihood toward running this site.

I'm curious what they'll all say when WoW goes live and Thott can't afford the bandwidth of 3 million people hitting his site.

Kinda ironic they are saying that using wowreader makes them a worker yet they say nothing about doing beta :P I think wow makes a profit off of them working to improve the game :P But allakhazam is great I love it.

Aw they calmed down after a bit when it was shown how stupid they were going.

BTW got 5 new items, 1 new mob and 1 new quest sent with that lil app. I feel better to FINALLY have contributed a tiny bit to this great site we got here.

*reads the thread. Is disgusted by some of the responces*

Tis' a pity that some people can't be polite when it asked for a little help. No worries, once open beta begins, you'll get all the info ya need, won't we guys? *Brings out a shotgun*

Everybody: O_O;;;;;

When i was in beta. I used thottbot. It had the most information on the game. Alla's didnt have as much.

let me say a few things about thottbot. Advertising sucks (so does alla's if you dont have account). The organization of the site is horrific. Alla site has great search features. Flows between items and quests and monsters. Organized so nice.

Thottbot had better color scheme (yes they did suck with theres) but Alla's wow suck....the colors are ICK. I think i am looking at one of my mom's 70's dresses.

heh Anyways. This site will rule them all with information, organization. Ease of use and navigation. Extremely up to date. FOrum under each item and quest for people to leave comments.

Its just sweet here.. Cept for the colors ;p

Aen, not that I really want to defend Thott in this thread, but he does deserve some credit too. For being just one guy, he does a great job with his site, and the organization of Thottbot was revamped to be a little more user-friendly about two months ago. I find it ironic that a site designed to track the droprate of tradeskill items on creatures turned into *the* item database for the game (at least during beta anyway.)

But...despite all the complainers, I suppose the word-of-mouth from the website did some good considering the size of the update we have today.

Wow, I am seriously thinking the Beta-Testers are all in the game for just having fun, not even really "testing". They couldn't even run the damn app, how lame. And, all you did was ask. Gay Beta-Testers. Boo to the beta-testers on that forum!

Boo..

I'll have to say right now I'm more impressed with thott's site because of everything they have right now from character profiles to talents, it's the site to visit. But I'll have to say this is my first time using a site besides allakhazam to find real info on things. I've used Allakhazam since my EQ days and it's a great site and as it stands now is the best site to visit. Azuarc is right I don't think they'll be able to afford bandwith for thottbot when the game goes live. Everyone in game already avoids helping noobs by saying go to thottbot.com. So in retail there will be at least 1million on daily, thottbot is done most of the time anyways so i don't see it doing well in retail.

That's awesome - that only for premium members though? o.O, or, do us, unfortunate, extremely poor get it as well when retails comes. I'd love to get my character up. ^^

Profile support requires an account, so that we can assign the character to you. It will not require premium. Profiles will have minimal branding, and no ads. Hopefully, for premium members we'll be able to provide some additional nifty features based off profiles. Upgrader perhaps? For now, it's a matter of getting the base stuff working as well as possible.

I read the first page of that thread.

Thank god I can't post there, those people are idiots.

edit: BTW, the WoW profile page looks great. I loved using the one I had on FFXI, great way to see what your character has for equipment and stats well off game. Also good to see what other characters of your class use for equipment so you can compare.
