I have a question about the beta tests. If you get into the beta what happens to your character when the retail version comes out? Do you have to start over or do you get to keep going with your character?

Also, the only MMO I've ever played is FFXI and the part I most enjoyed was interacting with my Linkshell mates. But are the guilds in WoW the same, because some of the posts I've seen about them require an application etc. They seem to be more hardcore...is this the case?

thank you for the time ^^

Beta characters will be wiped come release time. It's the nature of all beta tests, which is to give everybody a fair start and not give anybody an advantage outside of actual gameplay experience. Only Lineage 2 broke away from that idea.

Guilds require at the very least 10 people to make. It is free to make a guild but requires cash to open up other features to guilds, such as Guild Tabards. (Guild created clothing is the only description I can think of)

I do remember housing coming into play in the future so you can make a house for your guild alone. Don't quote me on this...

Guilds vary in nature. Some are just social organizations, like most casual linkshells, and some are very progressive and try to get their members to do a lot of activities together that would be very hard to do with random people.
