Haha I love the pop refrences in the quests and such. See if you can find them! I see one based on an anime show made by Square Enix, a movie directed by Steven Spielburg and the last part of a popular trilogy that's not Star Wars.

I cought the lord of the rings refernce and the shawshank redemtion but i cant really think of the other one. Is the other final fantasy unlimited?

Off topic but interesting none the less. Spielberg has signed on to be the producer of a Dream Works movie about The Transformers. And it's not an anime movie. It's live action ?!?

Nope, it was Full Metal Alchemist. Its about two brothers who use alchemy to bring their dead mother back to life but failed resulting in their bodies being trashed. In order to recover from their mistake, they have to seek out the Philosophers' Stone.

Stumpy, did you say Transformers?! Holy crap, where do I sign up?!

Warriors where nerfed to bits what a stupid decision with charge ability for PvE and PvP players. This was what made the warrior a class.

It also made them really overpowered. I dont think they should have made it noncombat only but it did need a change.

Charge was overpowered. One ability should not define a class.

Everyone knew a nerf was comming for charge. Warrior's got hit hardest with the increased rage decay.

Full Metal Alchemy is supposed to be coming to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim soon.

From what I've read about it, sounds like a good show.

I really hate the word "nerfed". It ranks up there with "pwn" and "carebear".

So one ability gets reduced, that just means you need to use the other abilities more.

Like was said above, one ability should not define a class.

"Nerf" is used by a majorioty of the player base and the devs. I'm sure everyone will stop using it now that we now you don't like it.

As for warriors, they aren't complaining it was "nerfed." People don't like that you can't use it in combat at all. And in case you didn't know, you are "in combat" when a mob sees you. Warriors used charge to start fights because it provided them with rage early. It is also the only way a warrior can get to a caster quickly.

So, instead of just offering up your factless opinions, why don't you list an example of the other skills you are gonna use to replace this. Or better yet, show me in game when the servers come back up.

The truth is that Charge was overpowered to begin with. You close distance, cause stun (believe me, a loooog stun. I've been in the recieving end of a charge) and get a large gain in rage. Not only that but it makes warrior a "melee" class that can kill range. Why does this sound strange to me? Key word is balance, people. I personally think this was an excellent move by Blizzard. It encourages the warrior to rely on others for backup rather then become an one man army that can deal with whoever, whenever.

By the way, keep in mind warriors have talents to help with stunning and rage generation. Its up to the player to decide what will be more important to him and the way he/she plays now.

Side note: When it comes to talent points, prehaps the complainers failed to spec their characters with proper rage and stun talents. Think about it ;)

So you think the majority of the Korean warrior playerbase doesn't know how to use talent points correctly? ^^

Also, how is the warrior going to get backup when soloing?

Well, done downloading, going to log onto my warrior and get some first hand experience.

Who mentioned Koreans? Not I. Besides, I could careless about how koreans play their characters because when I play, I'll concern myself with how I play. Warriors want their charge near to its rage gaining glory? They should spec out in "Improved Charge" talent and figure out new ways to enter into battle either as a soloer or otherwise.

Thats where the gameplay info came from over the weekend. Korea has WoW beta servers also.

That would be great if improved charge let you charge after being "seen" by a mob.

Redmoon, what level is your warrior?

The big problem with charge was in pvp where wars would charge, hamstring backup charge etc. The stun kept the person from really being able to fight back, What i would have done is reduced or removed the stun and adjusted the cool down time of certain skills.

First let me say that no, I have never played a warrior but that really means nothing. As of so far, the game is currently changing to the point where people who used to play their class a certain way will have to learn to do so differently. Mages used to invis/pyroblast now I'm sure they rely on different strageties. Ditto with priests who used to have sleep. Really, though, its beta. If you have a concern, use /suggest. Charge was a handy tool. Now the tool changed and its time to apply it on something new.

While I somewhat agree with the reducing or removing of the stun effect, I understand why Blizzard still made it a noncombat move. Ranged classes during pvp will still have the problem with shaking the warrior off if charge was still a combat move. Since Blizzard is going for a somewhat pvp focused gameplay, I can fully understand where Blizzard is going with the changes.

It hurts the warrior as a DPS class, that is the problem.

FYI, the new interface is really nice. The new voices are great also. I'll post more tomorrow after I've played several hours.

All I can really say is give it a week and post your findings. I'll wait for them.

And what's this you say? New voices? As in voices on NPCs or new voices for emotes and such? If so I can't await to listen to the trolls in their Jamacian accent goodness.

I created a new warlock on beta server to play with a friend that just got in beta. Two quests have changed in the low level area. Gathering quests where you have to gather more than before. NPC's talk to you now. Toons have new speech also. Funny stuff.

Took me 25 minutes to level warlock to 7. Done for tonight though, gotta sleep.

There is a new beta server also.
