Can a mod just delete this thread? Because that'd be great.

No new info on hero classes besides what's already out has been released. The Blizzard staff isn't going to be really working on them until after retail hits due to the fact that it's very high-end content and no one's going to get to max level in a week.

I think that's all that really is worth commenting on in this thread. Not only do you ignore every sticky and every other thread that indicates the status of hero classes, but you also ignore every other website on the internet - most notably Blizzard's at www.worldofwarcraft.com - and you freely admit your flagrant dismissal of any concern to do anything for yourself by openly inviting people to flame you.

The actual truth is that every beta tester knows all the inside information on hero classes, but due to the terms of the NDA - that's non-disclosure agreement for those out there who won't go find out on their own - we aren't allow to tell the public anything. In fact, Blizzard has also gotten all of us into the Everquest 2 beta so we can see just how much better Blizzard's game is, but we're not allowed to tell you any of this either, so we just feign ignorance.

You apparently know a little bit of this though, since you're asking for *new* info - I mean, the general public doesn't know anything about them - so if you're in the know, why don't you share what you have? (I need a little more to work with if you want a real flame.)

I tried posting there for a while a long time back. But unless you're part of the "in" crowd, anything and everything you say is flamed. . . very badly. I guess it's a form of hazing. I prefer a more positive enviroment, so I stopped posting there. I guess that's why I reacted to JAEfo so much, because I was darn tired of being flamed. He's not so bad though.

Very much like high school =P

P.S. I did learn how to get past the swearing filters though. That comes in handy in certain situations.

hmmm....this kinda topic incites 99/100 to flame, just dont type too much as to save me some scrolling down the screen and find the ones w/ actual info...
anyways, i just like to know as much about the character development as possible b4 offical release as i dont ***** up my path to a hero class, like if you do quest x on ur journey, you cant become hero class y, things like that. all the info i have is still from an insider at the last GDC, not sure if things have changed since then.

Chances are very good that any hero class information would come after release. They have enough on their hands to get the game out on time to worry about something that the majority of the people won't be at/worried about until months after release. Same as the housing question.

It will probably be the first expansion.

I'm pretty sure Blizzard officals have actually said that they're not going to really work on the Hero stuff until after release because it is not something that needs to be in the game right when it comes out.

Grrr...

btw, the only reason why this thread is "99/100 flame" is because you specifically asked for it

Hero classes will not be finished until AFTER the game's retail release.

Part of the reason for this is they want to get the more important things done first and no one is expected to reach higher levels until after some time has past, and lastly, they want it to be a surprise to the beta testers as well.
