I dont know the difference between closed and open beta, could someone tell me the difference?
... closed beta. the doors are closed, only select people are allowed passed the body guards to get in to play the game (aka, invite only)...
... open beta... guards are gone, and anyone who wants to come in can... this scares me to no end... the amount of idiots and overall jerks that have the potential to get into such a great game can ruin a lot of the fun (no this isnt directed at you, just the jerks and idiots that are probably going to play and ask for powerlevels [kinda hard to do], and then ask a question every min or less [note each person does this, so, chat is now flooded]) depending on the flow of idiocy and jerks on the open beta, that may be the time i 'take a break' from the game.
People tend to ***** around a LOT more when they dont have to pay for it.

When is there supposed to be an open beta? And when will I know when there is, and what to do to get in? Will it be posted on this site?

JAEFo I thought you knew me good enough already to know that I was asking for something that can't be answered. Ofcourse I did it on accident, I figured maybe since this topic was posted again something came up that I didn't know about. :( I went to the link and seen where it said there was supposed to be an open beta test "Later this year". But I figured maybe that site was outdated or something, because that has been up for months now. :/
If any information on the open beta comes out, I will chuck it at you like so many baseballs.
GrandMasterDaveo i saw ur sig and i thought u were some1 i know for a minute, a friend in my linkshell is named Drahzar lol. anyway i saw ur server and figured it out. Im on Ragnarok server anway. and JAEFo i saw that u are a tester, ur so lucky. Did u have to send an email or a post mail to get in? Im gonna try to get into the open beta, and blizzard says that they are going to let in as many ppl as they can and tartesk said that anyone can join it. but one of my real life friends told me that i had no chance of getting in? is this true? what are my chances?

i already did, and it sounds that way like anyone can get in, but one of my friends said it would be very unlikely, as i stated above. that is why i was asking for a ratio or if you knew what my chances would be, like 1 in 10 or something. but if u dont know then np.
