Hey everyone!

I'm an avid PC gamer. Recently, I bought a 1Ghz iBook because I'm going to be on the road for much of the summer on business. I was going to buy a PC (to take FFXI on the road with me), but the appeal of the iBook (price, weight, looks, the Mac experience) and the fact that I'm getting tired of FFXI anyway prompted me to get an iBook.

I was thrilled when I heard that Blizzard plans to release WoW for the Mac at the same time as the PC.

I was just wondering if my system will be able to run the game gracefully (I.e. without the resolution and all graphic options turned down). My setup is as follows:

12.1" iBook (the updated model that just came out last month.)
1Ghz G4 Processor (supposedly faster than the last generation 1Ghz G4)
768 Megs RAM
32 Meg Radeon 9200 (dedicated VRAM)

If anyone has played on a Mac of similar specs, please relay your experiences here for me :)

Thanks in advance.

It'll play it fine. Some situations might result in video lag though.

My PC and My Mac are about queally powered. The game runs faster on the PC :/ but runs perfectly fine on the mac.

from what ive been told from the few mac players ive talked to, they like the game, and it seems to work quite well, one of the ones that i talked to managed to do a suggestion for supporting widescreen monitors, and it went through... so... the mac player voice is heard just as much as the PC judgeing by that...

You shouldnt have much trouble, but, in higher populated/massive stuff on screen areas, then, u might slow down a bit, but, it should pick up, and ull get used to it soon enough.

Just bumping the thread 2.5 months later to see if anyone else has any recent input...

Have they announced the actual system requirements for Mac yet?

Thanks for that last...
I was wondering about the Mac requirements...looks like I'll need to upgrade. Do you know if the collector's edition is going to be available for the Mac? Is there any difference between it and the regular game release in terms of actual game play (special items, quests, the like)?
