I wasn't sure how to go about this... So, I decided to waste bandwidth with a stupid question...

At any rate, I noticed that you are playing WarCraft III again, I was wondering if you had gotten to the first level of the undead campaign, as I've been playing it as well. Anyway, if you do the fog of war cheat on that level, there' are some various golems in a secluded area... I was wondering if you knew of any way possible to get to them, as I've been scouring the map constantly for the last 5 days or so looking for a way to get to them.

Anyway, thanks for your time, sorry to bother you.

Chomp the trees. You can get the ghouls to cut them down, or there's another unit that will actually attack the trees. I think you hold down CTRL to force an attack.

With the humans, the Mortar Teams will destroy trees if you force attack them.

If I'm thinking of the wrong map, there are no trees. Best bet if there are no trees is air support (if it's available).

Beat me to it, but thats the right answer. :) Cheers!!

I've already tried that, you only get 4 ghouls and 3 skeletons for the entire mission, you have nowhere to unload the lumber, and it takes two ghouls to chop one tree down. I was thinking that there was a specific tree maybe, or a teleport point to get to it, I'm not too sure, but is it possible that Blizzard put them there to taunt cheaters?

I dont remember what map it was, but, they have a Zerg Hydra hiding off in some random corner if you use the fog of war cheat.

if i could just remember the map... ah well, happy hunting

I'm gonna look into it, to the best of my memory, I killed them by using the ghouls to chop the trees.

I'll see what I can do.

It's been a while since I played the Undead campaign, but it could also be a repeat map if it's big enough.

Maybe you build on that map in a later mission and then you can get the kills?

Which mission is it, what is the cheat and where are the Golems? I have all of my saved games and I can check it out (I think)

Its the first mission, the one you gather the acolytes. I'll try to do that, I fear going back to that dreaded summoning mission ( Chapter 8 I think. )

Even though I was usually able to maintain a 65% win ration in one on one games, I never finished that damn mission. the last 2 minutes are hell....lol

The map is only used for the first mission, I've tried chopping down trees with the ghouls, but either I haven't found the right one, or it's not possible. The cheat to clear the fog of war off is "Iseedeadpeople" As for mission 8, that was a fun mission... If you like having your buildings destroyed every 3 minutes =\ It's been awhile since I did that mission, since I like to play games from the beginning when replaying, I erased all the saved games I had, so I have yet to get back there, it should be fun this time around... I think I have a much better concept of how to manage units and set up units for protection/offense. This time I want to destroy the bases of the humans... My brother did it using the god mode cheat (yeah, not the same, but still) and there were some pretty decent items in the camps... I don't remember what they were though =\ Oh! And, the golems are right above the starting spot and right below the spot for the last acolytes. Good luck, I hope you two have more luck figuring this out than I have =)

ok. Either I'm blind or the golems don't exist.

I loaded up my saved game and saw no golems. I restarted the mission and saw no golems. This is the mission where you start off with Arthas and you have to rescue the acolytes in the town right?

Where are the golems you speak of?

Weird... Maybe my game is just glitched or something, or it could be from patches... However, when you start the mission, you're standing next to the Dread Lord, behind him are the trees.. Off to the side is a river, etc etc. When you use the cheat, the golems are in the upper right side of the map in the area behind the Dread Lord. They're right next to the trees on the side closest to the end area for the level. So it's possible that you may have just not seen them, as they blend in somewhat. I'll try to find the sight that has a map that clearly shows them again, I'll edit the link to the picture in this, give it a little while.

Edit* Found the link... http://guides.ign.com/guides/12906/page_4.html go there, you'll see the map, the golems are shown on it, even though it's a world map, you can still see them.

Hmm...that is the right map. I can't tell which ones are the golems on the map, but I'll check it out again when I get home.

Chances are pretty good that I'm just blind. It happens when you get to be old like me in my mid-20's.

Finally. I see the Golems. And I can't get to them either.

To be fair, I didn't try very hard. But I can't see a way to get at them, fight them, and still survive. Just getting there seems to be difficult enough.

If any of you manage to figure it out, post back here. I'm very curious about this now. Curious to the point where I'll go home tonight and play the mission over to see if I can get to the silly golems.
