This question is answered in the very first post of this thread - you need to install the .NET framework.

WoWreader has already worked on my computer, and for some reason, it won't work anymore. when i log out and go to refreash there is nothing to upload, except maybe some items, but the level of my character or equipment do not change. I've dont all the tests suggested on the first page of this thread :/ sorry if this problem has already been addressed.

I've used WoWReader succesfully 1 time & I have the "View Characters" to prove it. But the 2nd time I've run it (without making any changes to anything) I receive the following error when I click on the UPLOAD button after exiting the game:

"Connection error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have a slight problem with wow reader loading up my updates. I havn't loaded anything in a couple weeks so theres probably a lot of data. It says 11 characters waiting so I click on upload and it says "Connecting". It says this for a long while until it finally says Connection timed out. Any ideas? too data for it to upload? I have absolutely no clue.

I'm getting the error "Unable to read from the transport connection."

If I look at previous messages about this, it's to do with timeout due to large amounts of data. Should I delete wr.lua?

Getting a "Protocol error: 0" too.
Worked fine just one or two weeks ago (prior to Patch 1.12.1).

Any idea/help?

Just checked. I'm getting: "Unable to read data from the transport connection."
When I invoked Wowreader it downloaded a patch and "updated" itself. I had to regive it permission to access the net because my "gatekeepers" informed me that the application had "changed" since the last time I used it. It seems to get a connection, then start sending item data before it bombs.

Protocol Error 0 or Unable to read data from transport connection.

Did the last patch break WoWReader?
