This is a story of what happened to me while I was playing WoW.

I was in thousand Needles, and I got a quest to collect eggs in Highperch. So I go there and find two Alliance Rogues, both 5 levels above me grinding thw wyverns. So they killed me and just kept corpse camping. After a few times I was furious and just started yelling curse words out loud(in real life).

What I forgot was that my parents were sitting right behind me watching tv. Let's just say I wasn't able to play wow for awhile.

I was watching my brother play WoW, on his first character, he had some souldbound items that he didnt need. I told him to sell, he said he couldnt because they were SB...

Newb? I think so.

I didnt use the AH until lvl 30, cos i thought it was a hype, a game in the game even. At lvl 30 i only had 1g. Boy was i shamed when the money started rolling when i started using the AH. I also didnt know how to talk in any other ways than /s. Kinda funny looking back hehe.

I didn't know how to do the quest for the decks for the Darkmoon Faire. I had a full deck because my friend gave it to me after he recieved 4000 gold from his brother (since he quit) and I thought I had to get all of the other cards still. So i got the deck plus 8 of the cards when i was finally told that all I needed was the deck. What a waste of time and money. =(

Well, I never did any instances until lvl 40.
I was to scared of messing up on healing and being responsible for everyone's death.

I wondered if wow was a game with fall damage... so I walked off Thunder Bluff.

I put my first few talent points in Improved mark of the wild, then read at some website that it didn't help much at top level. so I respeced at lvl 15. -_-'

Growing pains...

I figured since I was a Druid and I was a 'jack of all trades' I'd space my talent points out evenly...over all three trees.

I got lost in SFK. Yeah, not really my brightest moment...

At lvl 30-ish I got curious at the honor-ranks and inspected a Grunt, his counter said 846 kills and I thought, wow he must have found a good alliance-spot. Eager to find one myself I snuck up to Elwynn Forest and totally owned every human at their startingarea.. :) Turns out Batllegrounds are good spots too...

a friend of mine got pissed cause I levelled much faster than him and we started at the same time, at lvl 45 I had to ask if his xp-bar was blue or purple, Isn't it always purple? was his reply..

I have no idea where SFK is, I'm lvl 54..

Well, had a few that have been here repeatedly.

- Not knowing how to change chat channels
- Needing items that I should've greeded
- Having no clue what WC or RFK or SFK mean
- Selling a blue item on AH for a fraction of what it was worth

Really had a hard time with my lvl 20 lock when trying to solo elites. Actually managed to get one down to 5% health using my VW as tank, but it ran away and came back with two more trailing behind him. Gave up after someone explained you were supposed to do that with a group.

And I actually accepted a random guild invite. After several weeks I was the highest level char in there, and all I was doing was helping low levels. Luckily it disbanded soon after and I'm in a guild that rocks now.

Also made a Tauren Druid, then decided I didnt want such a giant shapeshifting into a cat, so decided to make a warrior instead (current char). I deleted the druid without transferring any of his items.

And yes... I too was mostly kill farming during my first few times in WSG.

I killed rabbits and deers and thought, wow this game is easy.

In DM I tried to tank as a rogue.

I thought duelling would kill me.

I only collected grey items.

I always had money to buy only 1 skill until level 20.

I thought AH was being use as an surprising word like ah..

I thought 1g was hella lot of money.

OOO i got a good one!!! I used to think that when someone else rolled need, if you rolled need, the person that rolled greed would get it. So i would always wait till everyone else would roll, and then whatever the least amount of people picked is what i would pick. LOL

On my first character (on Bloodfeather) as Undead Warrior, me and my Undead Warlock buddy had just left the safety of Brill and were venturing into the Sepulchre to complete a quest I think. We had only just hit 10 or 11? and had been talking about doing some pvp in Warsong Gulch but hadnt seen any alliance characters or anything. As we ran past the Undercity a mounted alliance ?? looking warrior type rode past us. I tried to run into some bushes and stopped to turn around to see who the alliance was. He was emoting and waving / taunting. I just stood there saying /no. My Warlock buddy had less patience than me. From the corner of the screen he charged the ally! One hit later he was dead. I laughed for ages. My laughing stopped when one of the worgs aggroed me and decided to try to eat me, and succeded.

Also found out the hard way, NOT to attack the alliance in Rachet when you only have neutral faction. Sorry for all the messages calling everyone cowards for not attacking the alliance there!

I didn't know druids had a battle rez spell until I got it... so when someone in a group asked me "can you rez?" I'd respond "Of course not. I'm a druid!"

Like OliviaT, I also thought the protectors would squish me if I was in their way. That's what I get for playing Morrowind.

With my new hunter, I couldn't figure out how to train my pet. I thought it was the same as training myself - you go to the pet trainer and say "I want to learn this," etc. I didn't realize there was a tab for just that purpose. Life is a lot easier with growl. Thanks to the person on Greymane who pointed that out to me... can't remember your name now.

Before I started playing, I'd watch my lover and his 60. And I thought "I'll never be able to do it. Look at all those buttons!"

I didn't figure out with my Druid until lvl 35 or so that I didn't have to stealth quite so far away from the mob...

I didnt know there was a map until my main was level 15, I'd just follow road signs and hope I start seeing mobs that I needed to kill.
Before that time, I had a level 8 walk into the plaugelands (What's it doing so close anyways?) Where I was torn in half by a diseased bear...twice.

I'd ask for premission to kill an Allie, just incase he was 'flagged' by someone else (Cause I didnt, and still dont know what flag means.)

exchange of newbiness:

A guy offered to buy my staff over at the barrens that was bind when picked up for 1g
I said sure

When I first started playing, I was terrified of the AH, I didn't know what price to put items up for, however after spending one evening on Allakhazam, I'm now able to cut some sweet G's out of the AH.

LOL I was also afraid to go to the AH. I thought I would be instantly ripped off... wait, that still happens.

Also when I got my first silver at lvl 5 I was so exstatic untill I found the hunter trainer and found out the prices of lvl 6 abilities. I was a poor little noob *******.

I knew that higher lvls could kill me easier but I didnt know what the colors of the lvls meant. I died more times then I would like to remember.
