I am new to eq2 and am trying to get into the battlegrounds. I have done the discord quests except for the one where I complete my first writ because when I try to que for a bg it tells me I don't meet the requirements. I am now level 25. Do I need to gain status with my city or some other requirement to meet the requirements to get into a bg?

As far as I know the minimum level for bg's are 30.
