LoN, has anyone been able to get in the game recently?Follow

I know, I'm in a nagging mood today, but it's just annoying really. My game keeps crashing when I want to log in a LoN game. Not that I play a lot, I readily admit that I'm at this point more interested in my free cards, as I've gotten a few items out of them so far.

But the last month or a bit longer, my computer keeps crashing, runtime error, and I'm not the only player who seems to have that problem. Several people I encountered on the Najena server have the same problem.

At this point, I just use it to log out faster, hardly what the devs intended, I hope anyway Smiley: lol

Anyone else have this? Can this be corrected by myself?

I've always had problems running LoN if I've been in game for any amount of time (usually over 2 hours, regardless of zoning anywhere). You may want to try running LoN as soon as you load into the game and seeing if that helps. If not you could try the stand alone client to run it outside of EQ2.

If neither of those help you then either have the patcher do a full scan, or remove just the LoN files and redownload them. Let us know if anything works.

I haven't had any issues, but I rarely log in from the game. I use the Station Launcher and load the LoN that way.

Have you tried downloading the stand alone client? I've had EQ1 and EQ2 client crashes whenever I load LoN, but then downloaded the stand alone LoN client and never had a problem since then.

I haven't tried to run it from the live game recently, but six months ago it was crashing Test on me all the time.

You probably already have the stand-alone client. This is where I found it (I run Win XP), and I never downloaded anythign special.

And speaking of LoN, I actually felt like playing last night. So I logged in to try some of the new scenarios. Well, they've retired all the old Oathbound cards. So they aren't considered "standard" anymore. Which means if you use them in any deck, none of the scenarios will count.

So I spent an hour or so rebuilding a few of my decks. =(

I'll have to try that stand-alone client, or deleting the lon files. One day anyway, when the desire to check the new cards becomes too much.

Nah, it can stay, it's specifically about firing up the game from within EQ2.

Also, no one reads the LoN forum. I forgot there ever *is* one until you mentioned it.
