Paladin a good class for a casual player?Follow

#1 Sep 18 2009 at 6:03 PM Rating: Decent
I just came back to the game, and I only have time to play casually. I have a 42 fury, but I just don't feel like playing him. I'm worried that as a Paladin, I won't get many group invites. If the group already has a tank, is there any reason to bring a paladin to the group? So would a paladin suit a casual player well? Thanks in advance.

Yes, Pallies are great for casual play. Also great for hear-core play... Smiley: grin

There are one of the two TRUE tanks left in the game. (Shadowknight being the other.)

At the low end of the game, it can be a bit hard to keep aggro from the finger wagglers, but just whack 'em up side of the head and explain to them that they gotta slow down a bit, and your good... lol

Higher end, throw Amends on their ***, and let 'em DPS till their hearts desire. There isn't anyone who can pull aggro from me now.

And one other tip, get Consecrate. It helps. It gets the attention of EVERY mob within like 50 feet... (Just plan on a rest afterwards to get your mana back.)

As far as DPS, fuggedaboutit. Pallies are by no means DPS. Their job is to tank. Period. Soak up the damage, and keep the aggro. Average DPS last I checked was about 2.5 -3.5 k.

Oh yeah! We can heal our own butts. Don't even try to be the only healer in a group, but solo, yea, no problem.
