Hey, I used to play EQ one for a couple years, and now for xmas I plan to get EQII To my suprise I found a very enjoyable demo. No I have played the demo quite a bit, my xp bar says 876% to my next level, Does that mean when I get the full version and become a citizen of Quenos that I will be level 15?

Not quite. The maximum you can accumulate on the Isle of Refuge is 220% (not sure how you can get as much you have).

You're max level on IoR is 6. When you get to your home city, you must then complete the citizenship quest. Once complete, you'll ding twice and go from 6 to 8.

Basically you cant ding from 6 until you do the Citizen quest which is located in your hometown off the Island of Refuge

Sorry, I meant to say WHAT IF I had 876%, because I only have 200% however I thought I would eventually get there.

Nope, you will cap out in another 20% Worse still, all the critters you have to kill and the minor quests you have to do in order to gain citizenship will in effect be for 0 XP since you will already be capped out when you get there.

For this reason, I tend to leave the island at around 150 - 170% of lvl 6. This leaves me enough room that I am just over 200% when I complete citizenship and get that mega ding!

Well you see the big problem I have is that I CANT leave until christmas >_< I have the demo.

While you wait you can start other alts to see how they play. You'll grind through the same IoR, but it's a good way to settle on a few classes. Keep in mind that true distinction of classes begins 10 and gets even more distinct at level 20.

Also, you can spend some time in the crafting zone under the tower in IoR - get yourself up to level 9 artisan. You can make backpacks, food, and even a few spell scrolls for yourself.

To be honest you are better off not upgradeing that trial. IF you do I "THINK" you lose your 30 days free gametime. Getting to level 6 is really nothing. Also if you plan to keep eq1 on the same account you give up the free month of gametime if you immediately switch to the all access deal. Like right now my account has eq2 and swg. For the time I am using them both on the free gametime. Once the free gametime expires I will go with the station all access deal. But if I had put them on the all access deal immediately Id have paid $22 right then and lost the free time.

As for when you become a citizen if you have 220% exp you will ding lvl 8 (at least I did when I became a citizen).

A few points.
1.) You don't lose your free month if you upgrade from trial to a standard subscription.
2.) If you convert to the All-Access Pass, you do lose any unused "free" time, since All-Access gives you far more benefits than a standard subscription. However, Sony gives you the option to activate your All-Access Pass immediately, or wait until your free time is over - and they do make it very clear that if you want it immediately, you'll lose your remaining free time.
3.) The All-Access Pass is a great thing, but if you're only playing EQ2, there's little point to getting it. While getting access to the two Adventure Packs and 4 more character slots is nice, it really doesn't make $7 worth of difference, especially in your first month when you're not likely to be able to go into Splitpaw at all.

I am not going to do all acces, I might at one point just for kicks to play EQ one again.

Now I have 220% xp to my next level, 220% xp to my next tradeskill level. On top of that I made my self a bow, 400 arrows, a full suit of armor (well...it wont let you craft pants and tunic) lots of potions, as well as basically all my ruins...although I cant cook because there is no pepper on the island that I know off (but lots of salt) and I cant make gems because there is no raw malichete.

There is pepper on the island. You harvest it from a unique node - (there is nothing else in the node). I believe the node is called "peppercea" or something like that. It looks like a tall weed and a few of them usually spawn between the wizard's tower and the banker - between the ratonga scout trainer and the priest trainer.

And if all else fails, ask in /ooc if someone has a toon on the mainland and could get you some "packet of spice" and transfer them through shared bank to their alt on the island. They only cost a copper or so each to buy. (Heck, I'd even roll up a toon on your server and bring you some if you can't get them any other way.)

What server do you play =)?

I play on Toxxulia but that doesn't matter. I have open character slots and can roll up a temp character on your server if it will help you out.
