Hi everyone,
I am coming from Wow to EQII looking for a more diverse, complex, challenging world. I think i found it.
I like to solo, and love to group too. I don't wanna just sit and be a heal bot and not do anything. I like a wide variaty of spells both offensive and defensive.
So any suggestions on what would suit me?

Or should i go mage and try that route. i definetly do not like the all out melee classes:P
thanks a bunch

Well, any class in this game can solo. Just some easier than others. I just made a healer class the other day and am very happy with both ends.

My friend plays a 50 soemthing Templar and says the soloability is not so good. So if you want group AND solo, mage or scout type might be more up your ally.

But you can make em all to see what you like.

You might also look at the Shaman line of Priests. They have Wards that outright prevent damage, and nice buffs/debuffs.

But like tour noted, if you want a more technically challenging class, you might consider a Mage pet class like Conjurer or Necromancer.

I've also had a lot of fun with a Troubador from the Scout class line. The musical spells are a wonder to watch and hear, plus they are very versitile.

Ranger will have the best DPS with a bow, Assassin will have best DPS from behind.

If you want to be a pure tank - Guardian
If you want to be a pure Mage DPS - Wizard
If you want to be a pure Healer - Templar

Why not try them all? :)
