OK, I've found a few on the IoR, where it's an item to go in a slot, but it has no armor value or stat bonus that I can see. Like the dusty bracer has nothing to it, but the picture on Alla has it the old way where it has a varied mitigation value. Did they just stop doing the varied amounts and just left a few Items that are just crap?
Back long ago in a LU SOE nerfed the stats on some lower level items. I remember the rope belt you get from the farmer in antonica having +2 bonuses on it, now its all +1s. Still, some items that had very low stats on them ended up having only mitigation on them.
BUT !!!!
Since expansion, they also made all accessories (neck, ring, wrist and belt) with NO mitigation...which makes the old items that had been nerfed before with only mit left on them...with nothing at all !!!
So yes i would say that some of these items are junk and you can sell them right away. But be careful...some items are not junk, sometimes you get a quest by examining them !
SOE really needs to look a bit behind. I mean, getting a useless item is one thing (i still have 2 items in my bank i found in RoV that are listed nowhere because they are part of a quest they decided to take out of the game...i searched for weeks to find out what they were for, back then i even thought it could be related to the very secret frogloks quest...ROFL), but when you get a writ from ironforge exchange for a spell that has been taken out of the game and that is in no crafting book, it looks a bit ridiculous. It happened to my GF yesterday...
