I am a lvl 52 Provisioner and can't find any recipes past 49. Plus, since the last lu, my recipes won't sort alphabetically. This means I have to scroll through 49 books worth of recipes to find a component. Where's the love?

SOE said they fixed the sorting, who'd have figured they'd not have gotten that fixed on the first try...
The books are selling through DoF, you have to take a couple of carpet rides, or see if anyone on your server are selling the essentials 50-59 for provisioners at the broker. Cost at merch is around 5G 85S, I put a few up for 6 - 7G on Najena and they sell ok.
