Hiya all,got a question for the forum and need an answer.

Im lvling up a fighter class currently and have a static group of 3 friends that I group with all the time. What class of fighter makes the best tank?

Im now lvl 10 and unsure of what to take,do I go Warrior/Guardian/Crusader? I would appreciate any help pls. Thanks

You'll get every answer under the sun with this question Smiley: smile

However, Guardian is a good way to go as long as your primary focus will always be on grouping. We have great taunts and group protection abilities but the lowest DPS of all tanks. (I do solo a lot but that's just me).

If you think you might end up soloing a bit too, go for Beserker as they have better DPS.

Paladins are also good tanks and they have some healing abilities.

Really any of them would be fine, just pick the one you think would be the most fun.

i just started and i'm going the crusader route.. Looks like one that works great with groups and also great with soloing.. im going to be having a static of 3 as well. One is a Mage type and the other i think is a fighter.. but not sure yet... But will be fun either way.. Any other noobs out there need to group. let me know.. :p

You don't have to worry about a crappy class, there is no such thing. Every class has strengths and weaknesses in what they do.

All Fighters have Taunt ability, just don't expect to do lots of damage.

Best you can do for yourself and your party is get the best gear and spells you can afford. The most important spell is your Taunts. That will keep the rest of the party alive and happy.

What are the others in your group going? That might help in a better choice of tank for your group. Certain classes to compliment others better then the rest do. Either way if you just stay at 3 to 4 people in a group and are taking on moderate targets.. every single tank will be just fine. Even brawlers.

If you plan to take on raid targets or really tough tough mobs plate is pretty much required.. then you want to look into guardian or zerker..
