I wanna go solo. So which is the best class and race for soloing?

I find I can solo on all my characters. Both my dirge and my conjuror solo quite well, as does my brawler so far. My druid is still low, and it takes them longer to solo, but can still solo. Overall, I would say my conj solos the best since the earth pet keeps aggro quite well, and handles groups of mobs with ease, especially with 2 aoes.

There is no best race or class. Each does battle in it's own way. There are many solo mobs throughout every zone, so you will be able to solo from 1 to 50.

Keep in mind that solo mobs drop solo loot. Group mobs drop more valuable loot (obviously). So even though you may be able to solo, you may never get ahold of the good loot.

The game has been updated so that most classes can solo very well. It was not really so in the begining, though.

If you REALLY want to focus on solo'ing, I would do the classic EQ-style move, and go pet-class, such as Conjuror, or Necro. These solo very well, from what I understand :)

But, if you want to do mixed solo/some partying, then you could pick anything, really. Pretty much any class that has some healing will do amazing as a solo'r.

Well while there is no best race/class unless you have a certain favortie one there is a way to help you with your soloing..ok lets say you wanna make a mage of some type but you wanna do a pretty good solo job while your xpin your way up, if you get a high agility race then mobs won't put the hit on you as much, also if you look at things on here about the classes like inquisitors/templars get pretty heavy armor plus the healing stuff then you probably won't have a problem soloing either, i've noticed that my characters that solo well are my necromancer ratonga (because they're great as a scout class, but i made em a mage) and since you have the chance to make any race any class then you can make ur pick..also remember that some races come with special abilities that might help..like my ratonga gets the RACE ATTRIBUTE's that can help with agility and theres also Poison/Disease resist and other stuff to choose from..so if you want you can research that stuff on one of the sites..should help with the character you wanna build..

if you get a high agility race

That might matter while you are under level 10 fighting mobs that have no special abilities (they are noobs also). But it won't after that since the few extra points you get at the beginning are shadowed when you equip gear that boosts your stats. An Ogre Mage (low INT) will be just as effective as an Erudite Mage (high INT) since as they level, they will get gear boosting INT into the 200's.

Any class and any race can solo. There is no best. Play what you like.

Well since he wants to make one i figured he meant from the start...and agi does help if you add to it sometimes with ur add stats option that pops up every now and then? where have you been..my rat gets smacked around very little and is a pretty good soloer cuz of this?..

Psy, agi does help, but not like it used to. Overall the agi from race and racials dont matter more then the first few levels. Gear is the key thing for getting your stats where you want them.

Also to point out that as you level you have to keep increasing agi because it has deminishing returns. On my dirge at 42 with 237 agi and a buff increasing 24 parry I only have about 45% dodge rate, and every level it goes down.

But really a lot of the non int stuff help in the beggining. Sta gives more staying power, and str helps give the extra weight carrying needed in the begining when you get all that furniture and evrything gives coppers.
