Thinking about playing EQ2, but...Follow

I am currently playing World of Warcraft but toyed with the idea to give EQ2 a try. I have played EQ1 for some 5 years and finally switched to WoW. There is a few things however that I really missed from EQ1.

Levitation: Does EQ2 have something equivalent to DMF? Basically a long duration levitation spell.

Feigh Death: My all time best memories of EQ1 was where my Necromancer ran from zone in to Xegony's island to set up CoTH chain. Similarly, I much much enjoyed the trio rush (2 rogues and me, necromancer) to set up CoTH in Vex Thal. Doing these "content skiping" as Blizzard would call it (and deem it offensive) was something I yern to repeat. Can EQ2 deliver such a thrill rush? If so, which class could I choose for this task?

PvP: How is the PvP aspect of this game?
