How do i make this? I'm pretty sure that it is alchemy, so my friend asked me to make if for him. I can't find it in any of my books or on EQ2TRADERS.COM, at least not the recipe for it. He is trying to make blackened iron rings for an item out of an advanced armorer's book that we found. If i can't make this is there an alternate that i can use in place of it? Thanks alot.
The recipe for eolith temper will be in volume 10 of the scholar tradeskill books. If you aren't a scholar, you'll have to buy apothecary volume 1 from your wholesaler to make it. (Before you buy the book, examine it to make sure the recipe is in it; I'm not positive it's volume 1.) Anyone can use apothecary once they've gotten to tradeskill lvl 10; it's one of the intermediate skills introduced to remove interdependencies. You should have apothecary buffs in your knowledge book. And don't worry if it's really hard to make 4 tempers at a time at first, because your apothecary skills will probably be very low.

To the OP, does your friend have the rares to make blackened iron? It does not seem like he does because he would have had to use the Eolith Temper on the blackened iron bar prior to making the blackened iron rings and this question would have already been addressed. Just sayin'...
Just a side note: the skill for apothocary recipes is something like thautamology (sp). So look for that, you wont find skills labled apoth.
