I have a hopefully quick question for you all. If this has been asked/answered before, I apologize. I'm at work and don't really have the time to search the forums.

When I was playing EQ, there was a website that you could go to and download upgraded maps that were great to have since they were MUCH more detailed than the SOE standards.

Does EQII have anything like that available yet? If so, where can I get it...I'm such a lost puppy without my maps. Smiley: confused

Up until level 30, I have found the Prima Strategy Guide to be very helpful. The maps in their are extremely detailed and it also offers you other stuff, such as quest and crafting information. Of course, this is all based on the assumption that you don't mind spending $25!

If you want it for free, I can't help you. In fact, I hope someone does know where these maps can be found. It is a lot easier to switch screens and look at a map, than flipping through a book while you are trying to run around.

For EQ there was a wonderful site called EQAtlas, which featured beautifully detailed maps for every zone. They were hand drawn in colored pencil and could be printed out for reference and perusal. Early on, they added an additional wonderful flavor to the game for me.

Alas, there is no such sight for EQ2. There are however, several high tech counterparts... My curent favorites include:

EQ2 maps and quests game pressure - you can find them HERE

EQ2 Ogaming - you can find them HERE

There is also someone doing in game maps and they can be found (along with an amazing selection of UI mods), HERE

Hope that clears things up a bit... lost puppy... LOL!

That's the best link to follow, then click on EQ2Maps on the left side.

Those in-game maps have Points of Interest (POI) that provide good data on mouse-over. They are also color coded so you can find them easily. Points include mobs, NPC's, quest items, clickable items, landmarks, and more.

I usually have Ogaming in a window for quest info, and use EQ2Maps for in-game maps info.
