What are some of the writs you guys and gals enjoy? I want to help my new guild out as much as possible and I love to quest, so I think this writ stuff is right up my alley. I am T3, obviously, so I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

That's a good one for the reverse writs. But what about the City Task quests?

Hope I got the wording correct...don't hurt me

oh (duh)

The good folks at tentonhammer have this list.

A recent patch made NPC kills only credit 1 quest. I've found that some of the NPC quests have changed.

Happy writ-ing.

EDIT: Forgot to mention...I initially went to the City Writ guide here at Alla, got a blank page that says "No quests".

One more thing to add, the best way to knock out writs is for a full group of you and your guildmates to get the same set of writs and kill the same mobs.

The kills will be easy and everyone will get credit. Nothing better than 6 writs getting done at the same time. Watch that guild exp bar go up like greased lightning. :)

Use this grouping technique with Heritage Quests too. Talk about crazy exp on turn-in!

On the SOE boards, there is a section called "server communities" In it there is a board for each server. You might go there and look up your server because in each server board is a thread listing all the guilds on that server.

Also on the SOE site - in EQ players is a search engine that will search for guilds by server.

And if none of that works, you could always stand around in PoK and /ooc... Oh, wait... wrong game! My bad... but the other stuff will work...

I personally prefer the Tradeskill writs. As a provisioner i can craft all subcombines myself, and therefore i found out it was one of the best way to level up my tradeskill. Creating all subcombines it gives me ts xp, turning in the writ gives the guild xp, and it gives you money to do so. Also, if you are or not interested in ts writs, note that for each faction in your city you can gain a title (if you are one of those person that looks forward for cool titles) when you become friendly enough with one of the faction. However, completing writs for every faction will give you faction hits, in which case i suggest you stick with one faction only. If titles are not your thing, then i suggest you create guild groups for writs with ppl that share the same writ tier as you and that you get the same writs for same mob killing. Thats the best guild xp youll earn for you new guild aside from Heritage Quests, though HQ can only be done once by member.
Hope that helps.

Another nice thing about tradeskill writs, (given out in the TS instance under the Ironforge Estate). They pay 160% of cost instead of the 120% you get from your society tasks.

Better profit margin = higher incentive.

One other point, Mearyk - ATM - if you are not a patron in your guild, then you can't contribute to guild ststus but you can get personal status. This will change in Sept. when LU13 goes live and all patrons are removed from the game. (the concept that is, not the players!) After that, everyone in the guild will be able to contribute GSP, not just the 12 apostles... oops, I meant patrons!

So do the writs go up by level and tier, or just by tier? I say this because of what Dak said.

Level AND tier

Lvl. 10-14 have the easy, soloable writsfor tier 2, 15-19 have hard writs for tier 2.

20-24 easy writs for tier 3, 25-29 hard writs for tier 3.

Etc.

Its weird trying to find a guild. The guild i am part of now does not play EQ2..they mostly play WoW still or BF2. Just me and 2 other guys from my guild. We been together for many years so its weird trying to find a guild just for this game. I got so used to being around them that it just seems weird trying to research and see who a good guild is to join. I dont like to leave and join guilds so i want to make sure its a good one that i get in. And also drag my 2 friends along.

Aahhh WoW..Game of friends, kids, l33t hax0rs and cross dressers. Land of dreams for all. Tell them WoW isn't as good as Eq2..Have they actually looked at the game instead of just leveling constantly..

we all are for the most part tired of WoW. Most of us played EQ2 beta and didnt care for the game. I did like it though. Wow was fun for the first 2 lvl 60s...then it got boring doing the exact same thing over and over again. Same 3 instances pretty much at the end.

Edit: Oops, you said Eq2 not Eq1..Bah..
