IIRC... there is a trainer in NQ, standing in the grass just inside the zone line from Elddar Grove. Sort of between the gate and the opening in the wall that leads to the "space ship". Try him.
(btw - a "trainer" is what they call the NPC merchants who sell the app 2 upgrades... go figure!)
