im new to eq and im a former ffxi player, but while playing ffxi i heard lots of talk about how uber bards were on EQ what made them so good?

ok in EQ bards were amoung other things the PVP Kings/Queens
They had songs not spells which didnt use mana(Most of them anyways) and they could move while singing there songs. now there songs could be left on to resing over and over the duration of them was like 6 secs so what you would do is sing one song then stop it now that song will last for 6 secs right so you would start up another then stop it now you have 2 songs going then repeat up to 4 or even 5 songs and then start over so you could have 3 - 5 songs up at any given time this is called twisting. now they were not the best untill you got instruments going which gave them a mod. so adding up to a 300 percent mod and more to that song.

They could also melee use plate armour and swarm kite. swarm kiting is when you get like 50 mobs on ya bards run speed was like 100+ percent nothing can come close to catching them so you have 50 mobs running after you you run around them get them into a big bunch. then you charm one. Now all the other 49 mobs will turn on it cause he is your pet. you wait till it is at like 5 percent life then instint invis which drops charm. Do that to all mobs now you have 50 mobs down to 5 percent HP and you twist your DD songs on them and boom mad XP in a fraction of the time.

also they in time got weapons and pieces of gear that instead of having to give up your melee weapons to use an instrument your gear would do that for ya. so imagin twisting 4 songs and in that time your resists are Capped you are stunning the NPC or PC in front of you mana draining there mana at like 400+ mana/tick running around them at Mach 4. and that is just alittle taste of what bards could do.
